DIOCESAN’S SHANGHAI

VISIT

Diocesan School hosted a most enjoyable evening in the bustling city of Shanghai on Saturday 17 August for members of our Dio community. The Director of Development Angela Coe and International Development Manager Dennis Yu were delighted to meet Old Girls, past and current parents and even future parents with their daughters.

This was a valuable opportunity to meet with a common interest – Diocesan. Guests were able to learn more about the School today from an informative presentation by Dennis and this was ably supported by Old Girls Elma Liao (2018) and Linda Ha (2016).
Chris Yao, father of Betty in Year 6 and Heritage Foundation trustee, joined us in Shanghai. He not only represented Dio as a trustee but also as a Chinese parent who lives in Auckland.
The guests appreciated the experiences and information the Old Girls and Chris shared about many facets of the School. This was Diocesan’s first visit to Shanghai, and we were warmly welcomed by our Chinese families who shared their deep love of the School and gratitude that we had travelled to visit them.
Thank you to the families who joined us at the Shanghai Sofitel Hyland – we enjoyed the event very much – and to those who were not able to attend, we look forward to meeting you on our next visit to China.
