Your candidates for Brislington West: Jos Clark and Andrew Varney As you may be aware, last year’s postponed local elections are due to be held on 6 May, 2021. Here in Bristol we have four elections taking place on the same day: •

Bristol City Council (In Brislington West you can choose TWO local councillors to represent you at City Hall)

Mayor of Bristol

Regional Mayor for the West of England Combined Authority (WECA)

Police and Crime Commissioner

We hope you will vote for both Jos Clark and Andrew Varney to be your local councillors for Brislington West. 6

We have been a hardworking team over the last five years, with a proven track record of success fighting on local issues including saving Jubilee Pool (twice!), preventing the closure of Wick Road Library, winning funding for environmental improvements on Sandy Park Road, campaigning for the Brislington Greenway, and so much more. If you elect us on 6 May, we will campaign to scrap the mayor and restore local democracy. The current system has given too much power to one person leading to costly failures such as around £60m wasted on Bristol Energy and £12m on the failed Bristol Arena project.
