Funivia Dal 1908 la funicolare del Monte Brè appartiene alla storia di Lugano. Il tragitto si suddivide in due tratte ed in poco più di dieci minuti porta direttamente sulla vetta del Brè. Seilbahn Seit 1908 ist die Standseilbahn Monte Brè Teil der Geschichte von Lugano. Bequem und entspannt gelangt man über die zweiteilige Strecke in etwas mehr als zehn Minuten auf den höchsten Punkt des Monte Brè. Funiculaire Depuis 1908 le funiculaire du Monte Brè appartient à l’histoire de Lugano. Le trajet se divise en deux tronçons et le funiculaire conduit ses passagers directement sur la cime du Monte Brè en un peu plus de dix minutes. Cableway Since 1908 Mount Brè’s cable car has been part of Lugano’s history. The trip is divided into two parts and in just 10 minutes, you can reach to the top of Mount Brè.

Il Pan di Zucchero La montagna locale di Lugano: il San Salvatore, detto anche il Pan di Zucchero di Lugano. La caratteristica montagna a sud della città offre un’interessante vista a 360° sul lago, in direzione sud, e sulle alte vette alpine, ad ovest.

Le pain de sucre San Salvatore est le mont emblématique de Lugano : également appelé « pain de sucre », ce mont imposant au sud de la ville offre une vue à 360° sur le lac et plus loin vers le sud et les HautesAlpes à l’ouest.

Funicolare La funicolare si trova a 500 m dall’uscita autostradale Lugano Sud e a 5 minuti dalla stazione FFS di Paradiso-Lugano (chiusa fino al 09.12.2017). Offre un comodo parcheggio e raggiunge la vetta in soli 10 minuti. Qui il panorama a 360° è quasi indescrivibile e si estende dal lago di Lugano alla Pianura padana, per terminare con le vette delle Alpi svizzere e savoiarde.

Standseilbahn Die Standseilbahn liegt 500 m von der Autobahnausfahrt Lugano-Sud und 5 Gehminuten vom SBB-Bahnhof Paradiso entfernt (geschlossen bis am 09.12.2017) und verfügt über einen günstig gelegenen Parkplatz. Die Fahrt mit dem Panoramawagen zum Gipfel dauert 10 Minuten. Das 360-Grad-Panorama von der Aussichtsterrasse aus ist nur schwer zu übertreffen und reicht vom Luganersee über die Poebene bis zu den Gipfeln der Schweizer- und Savoyer Alpen.

Funiculaire Le funiculaire se situé à 500 m de la sortie d’autoroute Lugano-sud et à 5 min. de la Gara CFF de Paradiso-Lugano (fermée jusqu’au 09.12.2017). Doté d’un parking très pratique, il atteint le sommet en 10 min. avec ses voitures panoramiques. La vue à 360 degrés que l’on a depuis la tour est tout simplement imbattable : elle s’étend du lac de Lugano jusqu’à la plaine du Pô et aux sommets des Alpes suisses et même de Savoie.

Funicular The funicular is only 500 m from the motorway exit Lugano-Sud and 5 minutes from the ParadisoLugano Railway Station (closed until 09.12.2017); it offers easy parking and reaches the mountain top in just 10 minutes with panoramic views from the carriages. The 360 degree panoramic views from the observation terrace are hard to beat and reach from Lake Lugano over the Po Valley to the peaks of the Swiss and Savoy Alps. Numerosi sentieri permettono di godere delle particolarità di questo territorio, passeggiando in una natura intatta e rigenerante. Dalla vetta si può inoltre scendere a piedi lungo il sentiero panoramico che porta a Carona. Da non perdere 7 Percorso naturalistico: sul crinale della vetta si snoda un percorso naturalistico adatto a tutti, famiglie e scolaresche, con punti panoramici mozzafiato. 1 Il Museo San Salvatore: ripercorre la storia dell’Arciconfraternita della Buona Morte ed Orazione attraverso opere d’arte e oggetti vari di notevole prestigio raccolti nel corso dei secoli. Al piano superiore vi è uno spazio dedicato alla geologia, con rocce, minerali e fossili e alla ricerca sui fulmini. 2 La via ferrata: si snoda sulla parete rocciosa orientata a nord-ovest con un dislivello di circa 150 m. La sua lunghezza è di oltre 250 m ed è impegnativa ma offre un panorama invidiabile.

Ein Raum im oberen Stockwerk des Museums ist der Geologie und Speläologie der Region gewidmet und des Blitzforschungszentrums. 2 „Via ferrata“: er befindet sich auf der Nordwest-Flanke des Monte San Salvatore und auf einer Länge von über 250 m weist er einen Höhenunterschied von 150 m auf. Ne manquez pas 7 Parcours naturaliste : sur le faite du mont se déploie un parcours naturaliste adapté à tous, familles et scolaires, avec des points de vue panoramiques extraordinaires. 1 Le Musée San Salvatore : retrace l’histoire de l’Archiconfrérie de la Bonne Mort et de la Prière à travers des œuvres d’art et des objets de grande valeur rassemblés au fil des siècles. Le premier étage du musée abrite un espace consacré à la géologie, aux roches, aux minéraux et fossiles ainsi qu’aux explorations spéléologiques de la région et à la signification historique de la fourdre. 2 « Via ferrata » : elle serpente la paroi rocheuse orientée nordouest avec un dénivelé d’environ 150 m. Sa longueur est supérieure à 250 m et demande un certain engagement mais offre un panorama enviable.

The upper floor of the museum is dedicated to geology, including rocks, minerals and fossils and to the speleology of the region and the research into lightening. 2 «Via ferrata»: the route takes you across the north-west rock face, covering an elevation gain of around 150 m. The route is over 250 m long and is challenging but offers superb views.

Zwei Gondeln fahren im 30-Minuten-Takt auf der 2536 Meter langen Strecke rauf und runter und überwinden dabei einen Höhenunterschied von 849 m. Ferrovia Il trenino a cremagliera, da oltre 125 anni, parte da Capolago sul lago di Lugano per raggiungere la vetta a 1’704 m percorrendo 9 km attraverso la pittoresca cornice montana del parco naturale del Monte Generoso. Il treno a vapore del 1890, il più vecchio in circolazione in Svizzera, e i treni d’epoca del 1950, permettono di rivivere i tempi della Belle Époque.

Zahnradbahn Die Zahnradbahn fährt seit über 125 Jahren von Capolago am Luganersee über eine Strecke von 9 km durch die zauberhafte Berglandschaft des Naturschutzgebiets auf den 1‘704 m hohen Gipfel des Monte Generoso. Cogwheel railway For more than 125 years now, the cogwheel railway has been running along a 9 km stretch of the picturesque mountain scenery of the Monte Generoso Natural Park, from Capolago on Lake Lugano to the peak at an altitude of 1,704 m. The steam train from 1890 is the oldest one still in operation in Switzerland and the trains from the 1950s take the passengers back to the times of the Belle Époque.

In vetta è possibile visitare (su prenotazione) l’osservatorio astronomico e la Grotta dell’Orso, percorrere il sentiero dei pianeti o ancora il sentiero delle Nevère. È inoltre possibile organizzare visite guidate nel territorio per ammirare la natura e le tracce lasciate dall’uomo che ha vissuto negli alpeggi. 3 Grotta dell’Orso (I): scoper-

ta nel 1988, si trova in territorio italiano a circa 30 minuti dalla struttura “Fiore di pietra”. Nella grotta è stato ritrovato un importante giacimento di reperti di oltre 800 orsi delle caverne vissuti ed estinti sul Monte Generoso circa 60’000 anni fa. 4 Le Nevère: sono costruzioni in sasso di forma cilindrica, interrata per due terzi, con un tetto conico coperto da lastre di calcare. In inverno venivano riempite di neve cosi che durante l’estate, il contadino, in questo ambiente carsico, poteva disporre di un locale fresco dove conservare il latte prima di essere trasformato in burro. 5 La via ferrata: s’inerpica lungo le rocce, assicurata mediante funi di ferro e, nei punti necessari, attrezzata con scalette offrendo agli appassionati di montagna una via di mezzo tra le escursioni alpine e le arrampicate sportive. Il percorso inizia a 1’704 m di altitudine e ha una durata di circa 3 ore.

Aktivitäten Viele verschiedene Aktivitäten können auf dem Monte Generoso ausgeübt werden: Mountainbiken, Gleischirmfliegen, Schneeschuhlaufen oder auch Birdwatching. Auf dem Gipfel kann man nach Vereinbarung die Sternwarte und die Bärenhöhle besuchen. Auch ein Spaziergang entlang des Planetenweges und des Nevère-Pfades lohnt sich. Sie können auch eine geführte Tour buchen, um die Natur zu geniessen und die Spuren von früheren Bergbewohnern zu erforschen. Auf dem Monte Generoso sind auch heute noch einige Bauern tätig, die ihre frischen Produkte verkaufen. 66

The “Bear cave is the site of important finds of the remains of more than 800 cave bears that lived on Monte Generoso some 60,000 years ago, and later became extinct. 4 The Nevère (Ice Pit): are cylindrical stone constructions, two thirds of which are underground, with a cone-shaped roof covered with limestone slabs. In this karst environment, the nevère were filled with snow during the winter and served as a cool place to store milk in the summer before it was made into butter. 5 “Via ferrata”: the climbing route is secured by steel ropes in some places and equipped with ladders in others. Mountain lovers will find a perfect middle ground here between climbing and hiking. Built between 1992 and 1996, in porphyry, it is located on the crest of a slope and so offers stunning panoramic views. 2 Adventure Park: a treetop adventure course suspended between ancient beech trees, at the intermediate cable-car station. The park is structured into three routes of varying difficulty, for children (and adults) of any age. 3 The zip wire: a thrilling flight, over 400 m long, attached to a cable by means of a harness and a pulley. 4 Toboggan: the Tamaro toboggan run, 800 m long and with a vertical drop of 80 m, is a not to be missed experience for speed lovers. A thrilling ride down which is bound to entertain young and old alike against the fabulous backdrop of Alpe Foppa.
