As the chill of winter sweeps across many parts of the world, here in the Caribbean, we’re celebrating the warmth, vibrancy, and renewal that 2024 has brought to our Divi Resorts family. This past year has been a whirlwind of exciting transformations, and I’m thrilled to share all the incredible enhancements we’ve made across our stunning properties. From complete room updates and enhancing pools to creating new dining experiences and adding popular amenities like pickleball courts, our commitment to providing exceptional vacation memories remains at the heart of everything we do.
2024 saw tremendous progress at Divi Aruba Phoenix Beach Resort, where we debuted The Wave Shack, a beachfront pizzeria bar and grill that has become a guest favorite. We finished the Villas’ phase 1 suite renovations and have made significant headway in refreshing the Beach Tower suites’ phase 2. We’re also working through the exterior paint changes to the building, and completion of this project, including the Tower suites’ phase 1, is expected by the end of 2025.
The interior and exterior renovations of Divi Village Golf & Beach Resort’s studio buildings are well underway, with Building B now open and Building A looking better by the day! These studios have a new contemporary design, larger windows, renovated bathrooms, an updated kitchen area, and all-new furniture and fixtures.
At Divi Flamingo Beach Resort & Casino on Bonaire, we are thrilled to announce that all 81 hotel rooms are completed and feature a fresh, contemporary design. We’ve also built a new main dive pier and dive lockers, and the pool close to the studio units has been renovated to include jacuzzis, a new BBQ, new chairs, and palapas. All the resorts’ restaurants have received new furniture and lighting packages, and the resort now shines as a premier destination above and below the ocean.
On Barbados, Divi Southwinds Beach Resort has embraced a new level of amenities for its guests. From state-of-the-art gym equipment, renovated tennis and pickleball courts, and stylish updates at pureocean Restaurant, this resort has been enhanced to create a truly unforgettable experience.

Food lovers, we’ve had you in mind! Our culinary teams have outdone themselves across all our islands by introducing unique dining experiences and fresh new menus for guests to enjoy.
On Barbados, pureocean Restaurant hosted its highly anticipated Caribbean Fusion of Flavors event series this year, celebrating a new era of gourmet experiences. You can discover the flavors and the story behind this transformation on pages 8 and 9, and check out the updated pureocean website for more delicious details.
On Aruba. our signature Windows on Aruba restaurant is getting ready to unveil a new Italian menu in January. The new Seabreeze Marketplace at Divi Village opened in December and is poised to offer all-day buffets, including fun theme nights for the whole family. This resort also opened BarTapas, an intimate new restaurant and bar featuring Spanish-inspired small plates and vibrant island energy, which is already a huge hit. And soon to come, in February, we will offer a new twotier all-inclusive program in Aruba. Read about these exciting new offerings on pages 10 and 11.

We kicked off December on sunny Barbados with a week of fun-filled foodie events at Divi Southwinds Beach Resort! From plantains to fresh seafood to pigtails, pureocean Restaurant was suffused with flavors from across the Caribbean and beyond. We welcomed the famous Chef Orlando Satchell to help dazzle our guests with tasty dishes and a bit of culinary know-how to take home with them. Check out some highlights below!

STAY HEALTHY THE DIVI WAY
At Divi Resorts, we truly pride ourselves on being your healthy escape in the Caribbean, using only the freshest ingredients to create tasty yet wholesome dishes the whole family will love. We recently caught up with Windows on Aruba’s Executive Chef Darwin Torres, to learn more about how he and other Divi Resorts chefs ensure nutritious options are always available.
“We are committed to making healthy eating easy for guests at Divi Resorts,” said Torres. “I’ve done a great deal of research on nutritious eating and cooking habits, and with that knowledge, I’ve developed delicious recipes that are actually good for you. The key is to surround yourself with wholesome products that are full of flavor.”
Torres says using assorted fruits, spices, vinegars, marinades, mustards, herbs, exotic roots, and grains in his recipes helps “kick it up a notch’’ without adding unnecessary calories or fat. Cooking with “good” oils like olive, canola, avocado, and safflower also helps keep his dishes nutritious.
For his low-carb recipes, Torres swaps out white rice and other empty carbohydrates with whole grains and legumes to keep blood sugar levels stable.
“Changing the way you cook your food also makes a difference,” Torres added. “We roast instead of fry, and grill for flavor using low-fat or no-fat sauces and dressings.”
Torres’ healthy selections include his savory Grilled Salmon, exotic Stir-Fry Vegetables, mouthwatering ratatouille-style Vegetable Casserole, and many gluten-free and vegan items, among others.
“We think you should leave every meal feeling refreshed, reinvigorated and full of energy,” said Torres. “It’s never too late to fulfill your New Year’s resolution to eat healthier, and we’re here to help satisfy your appetite with tasty island cuisine that packs a healthy punch!”

Staff from our Aruba resorts recently teamed up with Martijn Trading and a group of dedicated volunteers to support Aruba’s senior citizens. Recognizing the challenges many face with limited AOV pensions, we delivered packages containing essential food items, canned goods, and personal care products. Together, we’re making a difference for our seniors.

Since June 2023, we have partnered with Ban Uni Man Pa Cria Nos Muchanan to provide local children on Aruba with a nourishing breakfast to keep them focused and full at school. When you stay at Divi Aruba Phoenix Beach Resort, Divi Dutch Village Beach Resort, or Divi Village Beach Resort, we add a dollar for each day of your stay in Aruba to your final bill as a donation to this uplifting organization. Divi covers all credit card fees, so 100% of your donations go directly to this program.

CARINA BAY’S CHARITABLE DONATIONS
The Divi Carina Bay team helped support the local organization Lutheran Social Services of the USVI. The group donated a 3-night stay at the resort that will be used to auction off at their charity fundraiser!
This year, Divi Carina Bay has also donated to various other charities including Men’s Coalition of St. Croix, Women’s Coalition of St. Croix, the St. Croix Foundation, Catholic Charities, Lighthouse Mission, St. Croix Animal Welfare, The Nature Conservancy, Relay for Life, and Project Promise.

Earlier this year, the Divi Southwinds team tied up their laces and ran the RBC Race for Kids 5K. The entry fees for this event provide financial aid and support for the First Year Experience program and the RBC Royal Bank Scholarship. These initiatives set students up for successful university study, helping them to improve their well-being, realize their true potential and embark on their future careers once studies are complete.

Pack for a Purpose is always in full swing at Divi Southwinds, where donations are given to Lifelong Learning Skills Training Inc., including clothing and school supplies. These are all part of the same property, but they are different sections within it.

CAN I REQUEST A SPECIFIC ROOM AT DIVI RESORTS?
You can add room requests, but these are only requests. While we try our best to get you the room you want, room assignments are finalized by the resort during the week of arrival, depending on availability.
WHEN SHOULD I SUBMIT ROOM REQUESTS, CRIBS, OR ROLLAWAY BED REQUESTS?
We recommend submitting room, crib, or rollaway bed requests as early as possible to ensure the resort has this information before room assignments are made.
IF I’M AN OWNER BOOKING A WEEK OTHER THAN THE ONE I OWN, WILL I GET MY USUAL UNIT?
If you’re an owner booking a week other than the one you own, we cannot guarantee the same unit. We can only submit a request for it.
