FROM THE DESK OF THE PRESIDENT

It’s been a busy start to 2023 and it’s hard to believe that springtime is just around the corner!

Last year we introduced our first new brand in over 50 years, Oceans at Divi Little Bay on St. Maarten and Oceans at Divi Carina Bay on St. Croix. These upper-tier offerings include upgraded in-room amenities, VIP check-in and checkout, and so much more. You can read more about these exciting additions on pages 4 and 5.

Our employee spotlight on page 6 features our new Director of Operations, Mo Sallah. Mo is constantly traveling between our islands and resorts, meeting many of our owners, members, and guests along the way. It’s a big responsibility to run our operations, and Mo always does it with a friendly smile and an eye for detail.

In early 2022, we were thrilled to reopen Divi Carina Bay All-Inclusive Beach Resort & Casino on St. Croix, and we appreciate all the great feedback we’ve received. It’s refreshing to hear how many of you have fallen in love with the resort and island. If you haven’t visited yet, check out our list of the best adventures on the island on pages 8 and 9. There’s so much to explore and enjoy!

And vacations would not be the same without delicious restaurants and bars with mouthwatering menus. We are excited to introduce you to our newest outlets on pages 10 through 12. Mix at Oceans is a luxurious rooftop bar that boasts one of the most spectacular views on St. Maarten with a focus on barstronomy, where exotic cocktails are harmoniously paired with hand-crafted light bites. We’ve also opened a new pizzeria called Slice Pizzeria on St. Maarten and Bonaire with fresh, made-to-order pizza that’s perfect to enjoy at nearby tables, on the beach, by the pool, or in your room.

Have you heard the great news? Late last year we launched our new Divi Resorts app. It’s full of important information you’ll need before and during your vacation like resort maps and directories, activity and amenity details, and food and beverage specials. More importantly, you can take advantage of express check-in and checkout, look up your reservation details, book another vacation or extra days, and so much more. Plus, we are always working on improving and updating our resorts and we have a lot planned for 2023. On pages 14 and 15, you can see a few of the many improvements we’ve recently made.

As always, our staff is dedicated to helping the communities we serve, and our Divi Cares program ensures that all employees have the opportunity to participate in giving back. Take a look at a few of the programs we’ve recently participated in on pages 18 and 19.

INTRODUCING MO SALLAH Regional Director of Operations

There’s a fresh face in charge of resort operations at Divi Resorts! Since joining the team in May 2022, Mo has hit the ground running, visiting each of our islands to meet staff members, tour the resorts, and learn more about our incredible Caribbean destinations. With 20 years of experience in leadership and resort operations in the Caribbean, Mo says he’s putting his skills to the test at Divi Resorts. Dive in with us as we get to know Mo a little bit better!

Tell us about your previous experience and your new role at Divi Resorts. My experience over the years has included serving in executive roles at luxury properties, top-rated resorts, and villa management portfolios in the Caribbean region. In my role at Divi Resorts, I’m working closely with each resort to ensure guests are enjoying unique and safe travel experiences while creating memories that last a lifetime.

What are your goals for Divi Resorts?

My goals are to enhance the guest experience and contribute towards the growth, stability, and creativity at each of our Divi Resorts destinations.

What do you love about your job?

I love having the ability to create exceptional experiences for guests and providing them with wonderful vacation memories. Plus, I really enjoy the opportunity to leverage my experience across multiple Caribbean markets and expand my operational leadership across several properties.

What do you like to do in your free time?

I have been an avid sailor my entire life and have sailed in multiple super yacht regattas in the Caribbean. I am also a divemaster and I love spending time with my wife and daughters. My wife and I are both fond of all things culinary, travel, and sea, and we love sharing our experiences around the world with our daughters.

Point Udall

Located on the east end of St. Croix, Point Udall is the easternmost point of the United States named in 1969 for Stewart Udall, the United States Secretary of the Interior under Presidents John F. Buck Island is a pristine national monument that can only be reached by a guided sailing tour, and it’s no surprise why this tiny island is so popular. If you’re in the mood for adventure, you can hike to an overlook at the top of Buck Island or swim and snorkel the shores surrounding the island. Cane Bay Wall

Take a deep dive into this unique, world-famous dive site. Children at two local elementary schools were all smiles as resort staff members volunteered to spend quality time reading them entertaining stories.

A group of Divi Flamingo staff members happily participated in the 6th annual Ride for the Roses event to raise money to support cancer patients and raise awareness.

RESORTS HOST FOOD DRIVES TO SUPPORT LOCAL FOSTER HOME

Each week, guests are encouraged to contribute dry food supplies or monetary donations to support The New Start for Children Foundation, a local foster home for children of all ages. These successful drives have been paramount in assisting the foster home with providing much-needed items for the children they support.
