LETTER LETTER FROM FROM LTG LTG
Hello all! I hope everyone is staying cool in the summer heat. The month of June has passed, and I have had such a great time leading you all. It was honestly a dream to see so many of you gathered at KCTC and to meet you all in person. Don’t worry, the fun does not stop there we have many more opportunities to gather! Please feel free to reach out to me and let me know how your summer is going and any events you would love to see!
Warm regards, Hillary Mai

Santa Clara High School Updates & Cards
This month, our Key Club officers attended our first-ever Key Club Training Conference, meeting key clubbers from across our region and our Lt. Governor. The experience was welcoming and helpful, especially for us as newcomers. We also attended our first Monthly Report Form (MRF) session. Over the summer, we started an asynchronous activity where students create cards for various causes. These include Gotta Have Sole, Hope and Comfort, Big Sunday, Cell Phones for Soldiers, JF&CS, JRA, There With Care, and World Harvest Food Bank. These cards are designed to spread kindness and support to those in need, including children, isolated older adults, and military personnel.

Watermelon Garden Bed Set-Up
By Neelasha Sudarshan
Westmont High School
On June 17th, our club had a day of service in the garden behind Room 60 at Westmont High School. During the event, we set up a raised garden bed, added soil, and planted four desert king watermelon seedlings. There were six Westmont students who participated in the event. Furthermore, we also trimmed and took care of our other raised garden bed, which grows several fruits and vegetables such as bell peppers and kale. The best part of the event was placing the seedlings into the soil, because we were all excited to watch the plants grow as we took care of them. We also developed a watering schedule to ensure that each garden bed would be watered once a day during the summer.

2024 Key Club Training Conference, with the gathering of seven divisions, D12W, D12E, D12S, D34N, D34C, D34S, and lastly, D43. KCTC started in the afternoon, where we first checked in, and eventually had lunch served to us, which was pizza, water, and different snacks. After lunch, everyone got divided into workshops, which they could choose, going on for three rounds.

There were different workshops hosted by different people, including all the lieutenant governors and those who applied. Many people attended the Rizz Workshop, Safekey, the President and VIce President Workshop, and Key Club 101, to learn about the goal of Key Club and desired etiquette. This event was hosted at Independence High School, with preferable conditions against the summer heat.
