Letter From the LTG
Hello hello! Welcome to Mighty Super Trooper’s June Newsletter. This past month, I’ve had the pleasure of establishing the amazing Division Leadership Team who will be working closely with me and all of you. They are a group of talented individuals, and I am confident that we will have a successful term. Feel free to reach out to them with any questions as well! As I have transitioned into the role of Lieutenant Governor, I am still getting to know everyone, so please introduce yourself to me! I promise I am not scary and would love to chat. The DLT has some exciting projects coming soon, so make sure you are up to date with our Instagram, Google Group, and through this Newsletter. Happy summer!

With the help of Key Club officers, Key Club members, and our wonderful advisor Nancy, the Los Gatos High School Key Club was able to find a new meeting spot for next year. On May 26th these officers and members helped clean out the clubhouse at the back of the school. Thanks to everyone ’ s efforts, the Los Gatos Key Club is ready to grow and invite new members to the club.

On May 28th, all the Key Club members gathered together to have a party to celebrate the end of the year. We were able to enjoy this party at our new meeting spot, celebrating our graduating members and inviting new members to fill in their spaces.

With very heavy hearts, Division 12 West hosted a banquet to bid farewell to IP Maggie Peng and celebrate her term. Most of the clubs, such as Los Gatos, Branham, and Harker, were able to attend. We had the opportunity to converse with one another about upcoming plans for our own clubs. Additionally, I hosted the May DCM, where I was able to check in with most clubs and excite them about the new term. Afterwards, I had the privilege of announcing the new DLT and having them briefly introduce themselves and their positions. I really enjoyed this banquet because I had the opportunity to talk to the seniors one last time. I am truly excited to work with my new team and see where this term takes us!

Stratford Key Club had 2 member meetings in May and 1 board meeting, which included the onboarding of 2 new officers - treasurer Roshan and secretary Meera. After further discussion within the officer team, 4 new positions were opened: events coordinator, communications officer, fundraising chair, and social outreach chair. These officers are dedicated people and hard workers. They hope to broaden our horizons in the coming months and are already working on plans to advertise our club in the upcoming summer! To inspire more students to join Key Club, in May, we planned certain tactics to attract the crowd during summer. We may reach out to new freshmen and new students directly; we have also been in contact with our middle school’s Builder Club president. Stratford Keyclub is working to grow through peer to peer recommendations and educating others in our community about Keyclub!

As of May, most of D12West Key Club is transitioning from the older officers into the new officers. Most of the clubs have a hard time keeping members intact and having members participate in service and division events events. However, I plan on fixing this by firstly making sure that their officers are extremely well trained (in KCTC and I will also be giving them personal tips) and are going to commit to Key Club next year. I believe it is important that the officers firstly would have to go to the service or division events in order to set an example, which would lead to more members attending the service events. Even if the members don’t attend, there are still people from the Key Club attending these service events (the officers) which is better than no one going. Although most of these clubs will currently be inactive during May and the rest of the summer, I am planning on making sure the officers know what they are doing before the school year for a successful school year. I believe these clubs have the potential to be great, and most of the presidents contacted are extremely responsive and responsible.
