LTG LTG Hey Manta Rays! We are officially two months into the term and it has glided by so fast! I am so proud of you all for your dedication to Key Club, even though the school year is ending. Speaking of which, congratulations on making it past another year! With AP tests and finals finally over, it is now the perfect time for relaxation and chilling with your friends. Along with that, it is the perfect time for SERVICE! This summer is a great opportunity for you all to get out into your communities and serve. I look forward to seeing all of you guys GLOWING at our upcoming events and hard at work with your clubs to GROW your service hours and funds raised. Thank you all for an amazing two months so far! I can't wait for more :) With love, Sam Duong-Brett

My name is Sarah Helfand, I’m 16 and I go to Poly High School. I will be beginning my junior year next fall. I joined Key Club because it seemed like a productive way to be more involved at school and earn community service hours. My most impactful memory of Key Club is attending one of the group’s events at Andulka Park because it helped me realize how far-reaching the club is. I am so excited to see and participate in the activities and opportunities next year! 05

For May’s DCM, our division held a painting party! This event was such a great way to ease into summer by painting with close friends and making new ones as well. This was a special DCM because we got to meet our new Division Leadership Team. JFK Key Clubber Ally Plascencia reflects about the day, “I had so much fun ending the school year painting with friends.” 10

On June 1, 2019, Circle City Kiwanis organized a bingo night for the elders at Citrus Hills Intermediate. Some of our key clubbers took the opportunity to help them volunteer during the event and keep things organized for everyone. This included setting up, picking up leftover trash, distributing soap to the ladies and separating raffle tickets.

Eleanor Roosevelt dives into community service right away, helping a local elementary school prepare to showcase their beautiful art. The art walk was a success, having over 1,130 show up! Not only did we accomplish decent amounts community service hours, but bonded as an executive board. Working together and getting to know each other was a blast! 12

On May 28th, we gathered to celebrate their service, spirit, and selflessness at the banquet. The officers of the past term were honored, and the officers of this current term were formally introduced. The banquet was a potluck, so members were able to enjoy multiple different cuisines and dishes from each other. A raffle was held and the prizes were various items for the summer, since the banquet theme was “Splash into Summer”. We definitely did make a splash as we had a water gun fight at the end of the banquet. It was the perfect way to end a successful term.
