Message From Our LTG What's Poppin' Manta Rays?! Here we are into the second half of the 2017-2018 term! Seems like just yesterday all the officers were installed and I was elected as Lieutenant Governor, now we have only six months left, make each day and every action worth it. This goes especially for the upperclassmen, look for different ways that you can give back to the club you serve. I hope you are all excited for Fall Rally on November 11th! A lot of prep has gone into so take advantage of all the different opportunities presented to you, buy a spirit pack, paint your face, make a spirit stick! Represent the division we all serve proudly and make a few friends along the way! Make sure that you are attending as many events as you can, with each event we are growing and I want you to all be a part of that as well!! If you ever need help you can always contact me! -Lieutenant Governor Tyler Ma

Message From Our DNE

Hello manta rays ! Now that we are all fully transitioned into the school year, although stressful it definitely feels good to be productive and have things to do right ? Having no schedule over summer really was not good for me,Honestly I did nothing but play league all day and not wake up until two in the afternoon haha. If school has already got you stressed out you should totally attend the DCM / Halloween Movie Night Social this sunday to unwind yourself and be as SPOOPY as you want ! One thing I do want to mention is the improvement of article and visual submissions ! Even though there are still a few schools who do not send in submissions it just makes me so happy and beyond grateful to see the number of submissions have grown from the only three submissions i would get at the start of my term ! Thank you to the Fifteen East editors/historians and keep up the good work !!

CENTENNIAL HIGH SCHOOL

Centennial High's Key Club participated in 2 events during the month of September which were Kiwanis Bingo Night and Club Rush; the club won 2nd place in the booth decorating contest which had a cash prize of $150! Along with these community service opportunities, the officers have been planning ideas for their booth at Harvest Festival, a family-fun "fair" where there are games, booths, and yummy food. Besides this, the Key Clubbers got started on their fundraising for Fall Rally.

HILLCREST HIGH SCHOOL

On October 5th we were privileged to participate in Chinese Moon Festival! Our members helped serve food while the guests enjoyed Lion Dance performances, storytelling, chopstick training and more. Our volunteers also helped set up the paper lanterns that spotted the night sky for the event. 8

NOTRE DAME HIGH SCHOOL

During the weekend of September 29 to October 1st, Notre Dame Key Club participated in the annual St. Catherine's of Alexandria School Festival. The festival is where friends and family can sing, dance, eat and simply have a good time. The Notre Dame Key Club helped operate many games during the festival, like helping kids kick a field goal, throw a football, or kick a soccer ball. After we would then give them a prize based on their score. It was a very exciting weekend as we were able to see and set the smiles on other people's faces.

JOHN F. KENNEDY HIGH SCHOOL

Our high school gave clubs around our school a wonderful opportunity to fundraise while showing off our clubs. Our theme was The Little Mermaid, so we took this chance to dress up our VP as the one and only to attract students, parents, and teachers. Here, we were able to promote Key Club, raise PTP awareness, and share a couple of smiles. 10

LA SIERRA HIGH SCHOOL

On September 12th La Sierra volunteered in Downtown Riverside's Long Night Of Arts and Innovation. At the Long Night of Arts and Innovation, we promoted hybrid and electric cars for a greener society. We walked up and down the event's area to provide some exposure for the latest electric and hybrid models. 11

NORCO HIGH SCHOOL

Our most recent event we had was, the DCM color wars we had. we had a super fun color war with all sorts of fun pigments flying through the air and all around us! This event was a fun opportunity to interact with everyone in Key Club. With our fun spirits, our laughs filling the air and our shirts being filled with bright colors, everyone from Norco and other schools had a blast. We can’t wait for the next color war!
