A Message From Your LTG Hello everyone, Are you all having an fun service-filled summer? I sure hope so! With less than a month left until school starts, I encourage you all to plan as many service events as possible. This is also a great time to start brainstorming about membership recruitment ideas and how to present the objects of Key Club to incoming freshman. Stepping into my senior year, I can honestly say that joining Key Club was the best decision of my high school journey! I hope that you all are able to share your enthusiasm of this organization with your club members, and enjoy the rest of your summer!

Summer Board Meeting This past weekend was so much fun, I thought I should share some of it with everybody. I got to spend time with the amazing T-O District Board, and am inspired to work even harder for our Division. I am so proud to serve you all as your LTG!

PCM Recap PCM stands for Presidential Council Meeting. This meeting is a chance for any officers, members, and advisors to get the latest updates on District and Divisional events. It is also an opportunity for clubs to learn from one another by sharing the service projects they have done. I strongly encourage everyone to attend and take the opportunity to get to know your Kiwanis advisors as well. Our last PCM was held on July 19th at Salvation Army. The LTG of 1N, Alisa Prachan, and I would like to thank everyone who attended. The PCM was a success and we were able to pack sack lunches for the Salvation Army in no time!

PCM Recap I liked being able to meet people from two other divisions. -Andrew Loh, LTG 39S

I enjoyed meeting new people from around the area that are passionate about Key Club and making an impact on their community. -Malik Williams

Updates Editor’s Update-If you haven’t checked out the 2014 June/July Tex-O-Key, make sure to do so. The theme for the August/September Tex-O-Key is back to school. Send the district editor jokes/riddles/puns and fun facts and receive +5 points if they are published in the Tex-O-Key. The sooner you send them, the more likely they will be featured in the Tex-O-Key.

Secretary’s Update- Remind your club to update the COCI on the T-O website! Check out the top 5 service projects to get ideas on fun summer service! Remember to do the task of the months for points added to your report and be on the look out for the updated Jolly Book of Wisdom.

Treasurer’s Update-Once you have completed your budget for the year be sure to have your club officers approve it as soon as possible. Keep in mind that Kiwanis clubs have their budget for the year set prior to October 1st. Therefore, if you want your local Kiwanis club to help your Key Club, then you should have a meeting with your local Kiwanis club in August, but no later than early September, to show them your club approved budget.

International Trustee Intro

Greetings Texas-Oklahoma District, My name is Barry Seng and I am honored to serve as your International Trustee.
