your LTG ltg LETTER FROM YOUR

What’s sizzlin’ Blue Devils? Hopefully not you! Always remember to stay hydrated. This month, I had the amazing opportunity to go to Key Club International Convention, where I met Key Clubbers from all over the country, and elected our new international officers. Next year, it’ll take place in Anaheim, California, and I would love for our division to attend. If you have any questions, please reach out so I can show you what I did. As the start of school rapidly sneaks up from behind us, I hope you can all start off the new year relaxed and ready to work hard!

HEY YALL HOW'S IT BEEN - summer's almost over already D: School (for me at least) is less than a month away and I'm so not ready, both physically and emotionally. I still haven't finished all my homework :,) anyone wanna have a study session to grind out homework together? Ignoring my giant piles of work, let's enjoy the rest of summer as much as we can! The Sanrio-lympics are coming up soon so make sure to RSVP and join us in the fun - it's a Region 9 wide event so there will be tons of new people to meet (even me!)

hey blue devils! ( ᐛ )‫و‬

monthly CLUB club MONTHLY Amador valley Since the start of summer, we've had little activity in our club. Unfortunately, we were unable to meet up this month of June because of everyone's various schedules and trip/travel time. But we still intend to have the in-person meet up we were unable to do this month, in the future. Over text communication, we decided that this meet-up would be purposed with the intent of officer-bonding to create a closer group for the upcoming school year. We wanted also to cover preparation measures that we plan to take for the school year, such as promotion (which we decided instagram would play a large role in) and etc. to make our club the best it can be moving forward. In addition we have been considering events like fundraisers, which we could donate or utilize for the approaching school year, potentially with an Independence Day theme.

dublin This month we slowly begin to get back into the swing of things. This means that we are increasing the amount and frequency of our service events and adding more diversity to them as well. For example, we partnered with the library to give the KEY club members an opportunity to earn service hours in different ways besides the traditional service projects. This adds more incentive for our members to come and earn service and when we post about them on our club instagram, we are able to gain more members and entice them to join the club. Next month will be the month of fundraisers and bonding events for us.

recaps RECAPS Dougherty valley During June, our club mainly participated in the Charity Miles and Officer Training Conference division events! I really enjoyed going on evening walks for Charity Miles and also had a great time at OTC. All of the presenters were very informative and I met a lot of awesome people there. Our officers have also started planning for the upcoming school year, and we are looking to host an in-person service event during the beginning of August. We have also been brainstorming ideas for recruiting/retaining members as well as starting a Service Events Committee. This coming month, we hope to attend more events and continue planning.

Monte vista Just like in May, Monte Vista held two successful ongoing service events this month, Charity Miles & PauseFor, allowing us to make even more progress towards reaching our service goal for this term. Our officers had a very fun and educational experience at OTC this month. We also hosted an interclub with LLKC and CKC this month to have our members and officers bond while painting tote bags. Overall, June was a great month of bonding and service!

’This month we held an interkey event with members from Monte Vista, Las Lomas, and Cal high! Everyone painted really nice tote bags and it was fun interacting with members from different clubs. Perhaps the most interesting part of the tote bag painting event was not the planned activity, but the memories members got to make with each other, particularly when one member (Donovan) decided to build a cardboard rocket ship instead. After finishing his masterpiece, he threw it unceremoniously in the dumpster and left. The rest of us were then surprised to see him return only a few minutes later, looking for his scissors. When he failed to find them on the picnic tables, he went to fish them from the rocket ship in the dumpster. The end. :) Overall, this was a super fun event and I really enjoyed it

Officer training conference was held this month and it was really interesting listening to all the different presentations. This was also an excellent opportunity to meet new people and make friends from D26S and D26N! A few members from D26S arrived early and went to grab Starbucks before the presentations started, which was a super fun bonding experience! Although it may have been scary doing a presentation, having a supportive audience and friends definitely helped make the experience really fun and enjoyable! Many officers were able to learn a lot from these amazing presentations and this will allow for the clubs to run smoothly. Shoutout to Matt and Stephanie for all their hard work and for leading an amazing officer training conference this year! ( ˘͈ ᵕ ˘͈ )

articles& ARTICLES

The 2022 June DCM was the OTC (Officer Training Conference), for learning about the rules and roles of Key Club. Along with Division 26 North, the conference was an overall success and everyone seemed to be having a good time. I learned about the roles of editor, rules of etiquette, and spirit chants performed at events. This event was important because it helps inform members and officers about the standards to a position, and can inspire others to want to be a part of the Key Club board. A Key Club memory that I made during this Conference was having the role of recording the presentations. This was something I volunteered to help out with, and although it looked like I was running around everywhere during the presentations, I was just happy to be able to contribute. Another “Key” memory I made was meeting and befriending new people from both divisions. We bonded over many things, and they made this experience much more enjoyable than I thought it would be. I’m excited to meet more people as I attend more events!
