Our OTC was SumikkO-TC. I arrived with a couple of friends and I got to meet new people. There were different schools, my school, CVHS, was one of the few. When we were doing our Round Robins I got to learn more as the vice president. Additionally, I also got to learn more about other roles and events that were soon to follow. Personally, I feel as if that information was very vital for the longevity of our club. At one point we ended up getting lunch and then continuing the rest of the Round Robins. Overall, the OTC was a great experience to get yourselves out there.

On July 7, La Canada Key Club took part in the OTC at Hoover High School. The conference provided me with valuable information on how to lead and organize our club next year. Additionally, as this was their first event with other Key Club members from their division, they were able to connect and network with them! I hope to host and take part in impactful service events and projects next year! Some ideas they have are partnering with our local hospital, or hosting a food drive. La Canada Key Clubs is beyond excited for the year to come!

I had a great experience at my first OTC and the theme of Sumikko was so cute. For it being my first time, I was definitely nervous to be presenting to officers but also excited to meet new people and talk about the schools they come from. Being able to take pictures with other divisions and making our signs were very fun as well. I think as being part of the DLT I learned to be less nervous and meeting new people isn't as scary. I enjoyed presenting with my fellow DLT and I can’t wait for the next opportunity to meet with even more people from different divisions.
