Member Member recognition
The June DCM this year was a super fun slime social at Two Strike Park! I remember showing up a little late, but being so happy to be there with a bunch of other Key Club members from my region. Our LTG Samantha brought a ton of supplies, and everyone was laser focused the entire time on perfecting their recipes. My friend and I were recording time lapse of our progress to keep as good memories, and others were bonding by sharing their life stories while mixing crunchy, fluffy, clear, glossy, and other slimes. Overall, we had a lot of fun and this was a great first opportunity to bond within our region.

Last Saturday I had a really fun time at our June DCM which was a Slime Social. I got to meet other members of other clubs in my division, and I began to bond with my own club members too! Obviously, we all had fun making slime, and I took some extra glue and made two batches. It was definitely a good start to the summer, so I’m also excited for our other projects to come in the next couple of months!
Mahalia Mehrabi, Verdugo Hills High School
I had a nice experience at the June DCM as I was able to learn how to make slime as well as meet and reconnect with other people. I enjoyed getting to know others more by talking about school, Key Club, and other things apart of our lives. We also helped each other with making slime which allowed us to bond together. In all, I enjoyed this month’s DCM and look forward to future events like this!
Jad Abdoush, Clark Magnet High School
The slime social June DCM was an amazing experience. It was fun to interact with my friends and meet more key club members from throughout the division. Since there would be socials with these passionate members throughout the following year, strengthening the division as a whole, being able to make slime and engage in conversation with others encouraged us to communicate and form friendships. Additionally, the newly elected Division 3 North Lieutenant Governor, Samantha Sabinas introduced herself and her DLT team that will play a role in the future plans and goals she has for the upcoming school year. I am excited for what the future holds for Key Club.
