Introducing Your New Lieutenant Governor... Hey Division 5!

Dianna Cardenas!

My name is Dianna Cardenas and I will be serving you as Lieutenant Governor of division 5 in the 2014-2015 school year. I would like to thank you all for supporting me and allowing me to have this great opportunity. As Lieutenant Governor, there are goals I plan on accomplishing. One of those goals is to have our clubs in the 25. Also, I’d like for our division to get together more so that we can become a stronger division. Of course, there is one goal I can’t forget, communication. I would greatly appreciate if you would not be scared to approach me. I am a very nice person and I don’t bite . I have lots of fun plans for my term as Lieutenant Governor. I would really appreciate it if more people came to the PCM’s although I know that distance may be a factor in your ability to come. Overall, I am really excited to work with you all this coming year and I know that we will have the best time together. Don’t hesitate to contact me for help at any time. The email where you can contact me is diannaltg5@gmail.com. Thank you for this opportunity again and don’t forget that I am here to help you!

Club Officer Elections are Next Month! This month your club elections NEED to take place unless you have special circumstances that you have spoken to me about. Key Club has elections early in order to offer a training period for incoming officers so it is crucial they are held early.

Advice on how to run your Elections: -Make sure candidates turn in a candidcy form with a parent signature page that lets them know about their future responsibilities -Let me know when you are holding elections so that I can potentially attend and meet your new officers ď Š. -On Election Day, allow a 2min max speech and a 3min questioning period -If there are vacancies in office, you can fill them through a nomination process

-After new officers are elected send in the new contact information to me by the following day! Also, submit this contact information on COCI on the tokeyclub.com website. Contact me if you have questions!

District Secretary Usman Hyder features some awesome tips on elections as well in the January Staff newsletter. Check them out at‌ https://issuu.com/todistrict/docs/club_newsletter_e 0eba9971a9656?e=0

MY DIVISONAL PROJECT:

What is SASSLC?

SPREAD THE JOY  We’re now donating winter lap blankets to SASSLC  All donations are to be scheduled for pick up by March 1st  Blankets must be NEW for them to be used at SASSLC.

The facility offers comprehensive services meeting the needs of people with developmental disabilities, behavioral and psychiatric challenges and medical problems. Additionally, the center provides vocational training and physical management therapies for over 300 residents in the San Antonio Area.

This project is extremely special to me and really would appreciate more participation across the division. Thus far, only 3 out of the 12 clubs in the division have participated. Let me know how I can help you. I know that together we are making a difference in our community where it is absolutely needed!
