Summers are a great time to start recruiting members early and raising funds for the school year. One thing I encourage you to focus on this upcoming month is fundraising. Fundraisers are not only a way to raise money; they can double-up as great socials! Sometimes planning a successful fundraiser during the school year can be stressful because of the time stretch and school workload. That’s why fundraising in the summer can be more beneficial- with more time, you can plan and promote more!
Reminders Contact Information: Please update the Officer Contact Information spreadsheet I have sent out in my divisional updates! This is crucial for your club to receive important information. Please also update the COCI and MUC on the District website.
Monthly Reports: Don’t forget monthly reports are due the 5th of every month, unless it falls on a Sunday - then they are due the next day. � Important! We have switched to online reporting. Newsletters and Articles: Newsletters/ articles are also due on the 5th with the same exceptions. There has been a change to the newsletter/article guidelines for the 2018-2019 school year! Thank you so much for those of you who made it to my June Joint DCM with the other Division 3’s! I was extremely happy to meet you for the first time and Key Clubbers from other divisions in Region 12. I hope the training was helpful and I hope you guys had a blast with the water balloons and getting popsicles! Shoutout to Bellaire Key Club for attending! The information regarding the July DCM is soon to come. I will update you guys as soon as possible. Meanwhile, please fill out the feedback form and input form that I have sent out in my divisional updates so that I know what to improve and what location is best for you all! See y’all then!

K-Dollar Convention Challenge Our District Governor Addi Duerksen is excited to announce a really fun competition for you and your clubs! K-dollars are actual dollar bills that are stamped with a "K" printed on them (look in the circle, left to George Washington). Collect these dollars and bring them to Kiwanis DCON in Abilene! Not only is it a fun competition, but it's a great was to fundraise for the Eliminate Project. If you would like a copy of the official flyer and a graphic to put in your newsletter/update to your clubs, let me know! (PS: your club can earn a patch!)
