CLICKSUTRA: Twist In Indian Wedding
W
eddings are one of the most common place events happening all around the globe. The most exciting event of the lifetime for the couples getting married. Wedding brings joy, elation and many similar feelings to most of us. Capturing such an event brings out beautiful emotions in the pictures yet it is extremely challenging and sometimes even daunting. Thus. ‘Wedding Photography’ is one of the most popular genres of professional photography. When choosing a professional wedding photographer, one thing you may want to consider is the style of photography. The most common and famous style of wedding photography are traditional and photojournalist. While similar equipment are used for both but it is the technique and approach that set them apart. The article will talk about waht is called “candid photography”, one of the intersting thing to do during your wedding. 4 BEAU MONDE
An excellent photojournalistic photographer will add a unique charm based on his visual perception,so the results are emotional and artistic photos showing the essence of the wedding day and ceremonies. Most photographers also offer magazines style albums which is combination of photographs and graphic design. There has been a drastic change in the way people have perceived wedding photography over the years. There are no strict rules in photojournalism, angles, framing, lights, its all about the artists vision and the ability to properly document the day. People have started to go for candid wedding shoots because one wants to see the wedding as it was held after few years rather than having patent bride and groom poses. They want to spend and indulge in the wedding ceremony and celebrations than melting their makeup in glowing lights of the staged shoot.
Yet is common for people to take best of both the world that is traditional and candid photography both. The reason is simple : its a good time for portraits as everyone’s looking their best and on the other hand bride and groom wants the minutest details and emotions to be captured the natural way. A lot has been done and written about wedding photography. But pre-wedding remains neglected most of the times. It is the fastest picking trends and requires much more attention and effort than some people may think it deserves. The idea behind pre wedding shoot is about savoring the great moments of love, compassion, joy, nervousness and expectations going through the minds of the couple during the days before the wedding. Its way different than the wedding photography...in simple words we can say its like events v/s fashion. Here the command is with the photographer to choose the location, props, attire etc whereas wedding day is the couple’s day.
Giving the twist in the traditional tale of wedding photography Ankit Lamba proprietor of “Clicksutra-weddings made happily crazy” is one of the top 6 best wedding photographers and cinemantographers in Delhi. CLICKSUTRA, their tagline clearly explains their intentions , “weddings made happily crazy”. Clicksutra was formed in 2012 to enhance the smiles on the faces of bride and groom’s families and friends. They work on referral basis as they believe to work for the niche.

Ankit Lamba is not a saint. He worships insanity and so does his work. Through every click, AL sketches the glimpse of extraordinary face-o-logy into classic phoenix. He passed his 12t h grade, studied Media from Wigan & Leigh College, Delhi. Joined frameboxx for photoshop & animation again, and finally completed that. His forte lies in fashion, E-commerce, products, automotive, landscape and concerts. But 3 years back he found his passion in Candid wedding photography and now through his passion he has made a name for himself in this industry. He has been closely working with Mini Copper India, Roberto Cavali Home & Linen and many more as a part of his profession. But he is always closely associated with wedding photography as his first choice.

He took the road that was not thought for him but he made his own path and now is quite successful. He has been ranked amongst top 6 photographers in the capital. Simply it is the magic of moments that need to be captured, keep in mind, one is here to sell artwork. You are not buying a bunch of photos. Its the skills , the artwork, the vision , the creativity and the professionalism that one pays for. And trust me.. Its Worth It.

‘ I Love Myself Without Makeup’
PACKARD The Wills lifestyle Indian Fashion week Spring summer 15, is all set to commence from october 8, 2014 . Amidst all the hustle and bustle, the beauteous model Erika Packard speaks her heart out to us: BEAU MONDE: First thing first, tell us about yourjourney as a model. ERIKA: I’ve had an amazing journey as an Indian model. I didn’t expect to become a model. It all came just by chance to me. I’ve to like travel a lot and then come back to the country. I’ve had the best of everything. The way the models are treated in India and the way they’re given priority, it’s no where else. So far, it has been a huge learning lesson for me, to find out how I am and how to dress and how to be confident. If you’re an introvert, then automatically in a few month you realize that ‘ya, wow! you can talk to people.’ It has given me a lot of self- confidence I would say.” BEAU MONDE: How did you start off as a model? ERIKA: “I was spotted at a road in Bandra in Bombay. I was completely becoming a psychologist. I had my big dream sorted for myself. Modeling was not at all my first career option. If you would have seen my pictures, with joint eye brows and everything, you’ll never think that I can be a model. I was so bad. I would have been lucky if i would have found a guy who liked me. And now when i see myself, I’m like ‘oh my god, I looked bad, very bad.’” 10 BEAU MONDE
BEAU MONDE: Which designer are you walking for this fashion week? Erika: “I am doing Pero by Aneeth Arora, which is super awesome and then I’m doing Giesha Designs by Paras and Shalini and many more designers.” BEAU MONDE:Which designer gave you the first break? ERIKA: “Gaurav Gupta gave me the first break. It was my first season and he made me open the show and I was so bad. (giggling). My legs were shaking and he was so mad at me. He is always giving me opportunities.” BEAU MONDE: Tell us about your experience with FDCI. ERIKA: “I love FDCI. They’re super close to me. This is my third year with them and when you work with somebody for so long, you obviously become friends with them and you dont do the ‘hi, hello’ formal thingy anymore. It is really nice.” BEAUMONDE: Who’s your favourite designer? ERIKA: (thinking) “There are lots of new designers. A lot of them are from Bombay who aren’t participating today. There is Nikhil Thampi, who is doing really well in Bomaby and he’s super awesome. I’m wearing this dress from Eleven Eleven who is a friend. It is all organic and I love such stuff. Then there is Gaurav Gupta, he has got super cute collection”.
ERIKA PACKARD
BEAU MONDE: How do you describe your life as a model? ERIKA: “It’s super nice and awesome. I love being a part of this filed.” BEAU MONDE: Everyone knows about the pressures that a model has to deal with, like weight pressure, make up and most importantly makeup, how well do you deal with all these? ERIKA: “Obviously, there is a sort of pressure that encompasses every field. But then you just have to believe in yourself. You should know that this is you and no body can change you. Everyone is unique eventually, what you may have somebody might not have. Be happy with what you have and even if you lack it, just be happy because that is what makes you unique.” BEAU MONDE: So do you walk down the street without makeup? ERIKA: “I never put makeup, I just have it when I’m working. I love myself without makeup.” BEAU MONDE: The last thing, what style advice would you like to give to the readers? ERIKA: “Wear what makes you comfortable. You know your body type the best, so dress accordingly. Even if you feel that something is way too flamboyant, don’t be skittish about wearing it. Wear it and make a style statement.”

Where: Cafe Turtle, Khan Market, New Delhi
Well, we will start with the name! The name is so catchy that you would want to know about the place. So, we finally went with some friends for dinner. The place is really cool. Loved the ambience there and got Farzified instantly. One wants to be surprised with the different serving styles of the already well known favourite Pan Indian dishes, if that your thing then you must visit Farzi. From Vada Pao to Pulao to kababs come in unique styling and normally their portions are medium.
For the main course, we ordered Galauti Burger, with the melt-in-your-mouth kebabs, I was in heaven. Literally! We also tried the Chicken dish (which was a little on the Spicer side). The last dish to arrive was grilled fish and they were the softest that we have had, could not have asked for more from the main course. The innovation and rawness is soo mesmerizing. Hats off to the chef. The bill came in a box that had candy paan along, so different than the usual fennel and crystal cubes. Fairly priced place, no complaints on that front as well. Complete thumbs Up for the place. Recommendable for all.

We have been here quite a few times. The music, food, ambience, seating everything is amazing except that the service is quite slow. Also the staff can get a bit rude when there is a lot of commotion going around. The place also has a rooftop sitting which make a lazy winter evening comfortable.
ROSE CAFE: Rated:3.5/5 Cusine- Italian, Lebanese and Mediterranean.
Pretty decent food and drinks. We ordered penne arabiata (pasta) and Humus and pita bread along with mint mojitos. I absolutely enjoyed my meal after a long time. The music was just to my taste. It has been said the most happening place in central Delhi these days. Their menu card( Warehouse Inventory) has a special column, which offers discounts on the item that is mentioned along the date. Like : If its 2nd july so the 2nd item on the menu is on a 50% discount for the day!
This place is on the go to list of every girl in the city. The entire look of the place is very romantic and charming .It has a very English feel to it. Also the outside sitting gives the place brownie points. The place is dominated by baby pink and blues, lace curtains and a comforting lawn in the back yard. It immediately catches your fancy. The food was equally good. We ordered the fruity Italian soda as drinks and chicken sausage puffs as starters. To my surprise both were quite delicious. Their specialty is the espresso cake,we ordered that for desserts, thankfully that lived up to its image. All in all it’s a nice place to hangout, the staff was polite, the environment was comforting but the food could not justify the ambience of the place. It is a place for people who enjoy femininity and of course the food. The price was apt for a South Delhi cafÊ.

Do we love ourselves?

ast evolving world, breaking-through inventions, exhilarating lifestyle and lightening paced life everything needs our time. But doesn’t your health deserve a little consideration, if not your attention and love. Charlie Chaplin quoted, “As I began to love myself, I freed myself of anything that is no good for my health-food, people, things, situations and everything that drew me away from myself. At first I called this attitude a healthy egoism. Today I know it is “LOVE OF ONESELF”. Have you started loving yourself? If not read ahead … Present lifestyle has gone through an upside-down shift for the good, but at the cost of many better things. One of these things being your health. Being online on WhatsApp appears worthy than working out. Sharing jokes seems important than mending a broken relationship. Ignoring shouts of your body for a proper nutrition is easier than taking in a balanced diet. Making fun of someone’s ineptness, misery and sufferings will automatically solve all your problems and ridiculing others would make you a better human being by overcoming all your shortcomings.shortcomings. Isn’t it…?? Take one second and ask your body and your mind, is it what it wants? If it is a no, then keep reading... Yes, technology is inevitable, junk foods are indispensable and fun has just blended in the lifestyle. I am not even asking you to throw these away and go to the primitive ages. But If at the end of the day, you have just added more calories to yourself, you have just made others weep and also made yourself regretful as you could have been better and peaceful, you are just stuck In the same pain, agony and stress and you have just caused more discomfort to your joints due to your inactivity, then BEAU MONDE 31
you have successfully lost a part of yourself. If you have lost a part of yourself, then keep reading… The word HEALTH always gets you the images of healthy food, nutrition and a bar on junk foods, then you are partially correct. Physical and mental health is what I am speaking about. There are well defined methods and concoctions to achieve physical health. Take help from your best friend-GOOGLE, it will flourish you with ideas and formulas. But what about your mental health. Ha ve you done anything for it? If no is the answer, keep reading. Basic biology says that brain is the center of our body. When the center of your body is being poked, pushed, squeezed and slaughtered then how can the supplementary organs work? This self-butchering can’t be totally attributed to the present times. Ego, indifference, superiority, inferiority, apathy, selfdoubt and self-obsession has traveled the long path with us to the present. These might give temporary relief but no permanent welfare is guaranteed. These might seem better than sailing the boat in tough times but there is something called the best which is attainable only when the self-butchering is left far behind in the old primeval ages where it appeared. There is no bullet-proof jacket to guard yourself from a gunshot from a gun called stress. But there is always you to remind yourself that that gunshot was just a part of a self-built dream that could have been constructed in some productive and positive way. Yes, You can transform yourself!

Use Honey everyday for glowing skin: Applying raw hone is great for your skin. If you have a sudden acne breakout, gently dab honey on the affected area. You can even mix it with lavender oil for an extra shiny look. Use a mix of honey and coconut milk as a homemade skin cleanser; it is always beneficial for your skin to use natural products.
Highlight your best feature: Be it your cheek bone, your eyes or your smile. Beautify them and dazzle. If you want more attention on your lips then apply a brighter shade like a tomato red or magenta, and accentuate your cheekbone with a brozer.
Smooth Base: Always try to choose a smoother base. Go for foundation rather than the compact powder. As foundation blends well with your skin and give a non- made up look. Even then if you wish to use a compact, please girls use it over foundation.
Smokey-cat eyes: The evening look should always be on the bold side. Consider, using dark shades like blue, grey, green or even silver and golden are great options. Play along the festive mood. BEAU MONDE 38
