Introduction ++ to CBD ++ ++

Agent • Designing for people and providing documentation for clients • Design open space that allows audience to communicate with the government • Understand both sides and design a platform for the two to communicate • Understand who the real players are

Design • Designing the 5 ‘Extreme Transformation’ separately • Each of them are looking at different problem / issue and how to solve it • Keeping the same main concept of connecting Docklands and CBD but in different manner • Each design are embedded with ‘New Urban Metabolism’ Theory • In the end, the separate designs will come together to create one outcome which isn’t designed purposely • Mitigating all the types of transformation

Example of ‘Landscape Architecture’ in Thesis project

Spatial Design

++ Designer’s Idea ++ Meaningful design ++ Not only ‘beautiful place’

I believe Landscape Architecture is a spatial design that contains much more than simple structural functionality. Landscape design is a medium that portrays three things, ‘Design of Space’, ‘Vision of Clients’ and ‘Ideology’. By understanding the context and history of the site, Landscape Architect can view the city’s needs with the specific field knowledge. With this, we can advise the client on how their needs need to be mitigated. The products made by Landscape Architects need to be readable not only for the people with professional training but should be comprehendible for anyone, as they are the ones using the site when built. At the same time, functionality and sustainability need to be present. As built space will be occupied by people and not becoming a statue. I believe public space is where social engagement and congregation happens not only between people to people but a communication tool for government as well as nature.

++ Plan/Section/Axo ++ Professional skilled drawings ++ Spatial drawings for non-skilled audiences
