elaxation in a hot bath is an amazing way to end a day. I love to height-
en this experience with adding things to my bath such as salts or bath bombs. When I saw the class advertised by Moonlight Makes for home-
made bath bombs at Tractor Brewing in Four Hills I knew I needed to
try this out as part of my beer therapy exploration. This class did not
disappoint. First and foremost, there is a great space at Tractor Four Hills for
classes of this nature. When I arrived the table was set up in an aesthetically
pleasing way with all of our materials at each space. Our instructor was knowledgeable about the product and gave clear, easy instructions. There were about eight different scents to choose from as well as plenty of color choices. We were also provided with several different decorative toppers for the bombs. I went with the lavender scent and chose a teal color with dried lavender as my topper. The bath bombs formed beautifully. We were able to drink our beer while we make the bath bombs. I tried the Blood Orange hard cider and it was so richly colored that two other attendants of the class tried it as well. It had a wonderfully crisp taste that we all enjoyed. The small number of the class made for a cozy and friendly experience and we all got to know each other with ease. Moonlight Makes bath bombs definitely qualifies as beer therapy; it is almost a two-for-one therapeutic experience when you account for a hot bath with the bath bomb later. I highly recommend following Moonlight Makes on their Facebook page, Instagram at moonlight.makes as well as checking out their site: www.moonlightmakes.com for upcoming craft parties. Tractor Four Hills is located at 13170 Central Ave SE, Albuquerque, NM 87123 and can also be followed on Facebook as well as Instagram @tractorbrewing and their website is https://getplowed.com/four-hills-taproom/.

o our favorite bars are opening and we’re all excited to get back out there and meet our friends again after the quarantine, right? Well, some of us might not be so comfortable just yet being around a lot of people even with the health precautions most breweries and bars are putting in place. At the same time that we want to be cautious and responsible for the sake of our communities, we also want to support our local business economy, especially in activities that bring personal enjoyment and socialization. Want to drink

with friends, support your local brewery/ bar/restaurant but also want to maintain your safety? Consider the virtual happy hour. Zoom, google meets and other online venues are the perfect solution for a relaxing drink with friends. A local group of friends (including yours truly) attends a Friday evening Happy Hour group via Zoom with a corresponding Facebook group page in which members share information, experiences and memes from educational video links on mixology to hilarious quotes about imbibing. We all pick
up our favorite items and share what we’re drinking and discuss everything from entertainment to personal experiences. This particular group has members from all over the US as well as Canada. Most breweries have packs of canned brews, crowlers and/or growlers that can be picked up safely and consumed at home. The virtual happy hour is a great alternative to keep up our social skills and support our hometown business. eCheers, Albuquerque!

hen you walk into the Enchanted Circle Brewery in Albuquerque you can expect to be greeted by a friendly, welcoming staff that are more than happy to recommend drinks, food and activities. The camaraderie is evident amongst the entire staff and you will be as comfortable interacting with them as you are talking with your friends. Indeed, the atmosphere is so welcoming that some of their staff sought employment after their visit as a customer. Leesha, Amy and Christopher are our featured bartending staff for July/August. As a group they bring an enjoyment of craft beer, service and socialization as well as knowledge in these arenas. Leesha Martinez, an Albuquerque native, heads the staff as Assistant Manager. Leesha loves the social aspect of working in a brewery and is naturally skilled with organizing some of the activities offered including trivia nights and live music on their patio. She states that interacting with her guests and contributing to ideas to increase their enjoyment of their trip to Enchanted Circle is very fulfilling and she is committed to growing with the brewery. Amy Seeds is an Alabama transplant to New Mexico, bringing over 10 years of experience to the location. She considers it a personal challenge to find the perfect beer for her guests and draws from her knowledge of the 30 + beers on tap to do so. “You don’t like beer? I’m gonna find a beer you like,” she states. Christopher Clinton, also an ABQ native, is committed to contributing to the professional environment of Enchanted Circle through hosting activities and educating guests on great beer. Chris enjoys learning about the brewing process and the science behind what contributes to a desirable brew. The quality of the beer is what attracted him to Enchanted Circle; he personally considers it among
the top beers in the state. If you ask him for a recommendation he’ll tell you about the Juicy #2 Pale Ale, the Hells Bells Helles Lager and the Angel’s Plunge Strong Ale. The patio of the brewery is a highlight and hosts a variety of outdoor activities including live music from local artists and a smoker that is used continuously for mouth-watering smoked meats. Their summer menu includes an array of crisp salads and beer ice cream made on site with fresh ingredients. Some of the ice cream flavors include Salted Caramel Brown Ale with Pecans made with the brown ale, Lemon Sherbet that contains the Lemon Shandy and Mrs. Teats Chocolate Milk Stout Ice Cream. They also have basic vanilla bean for the kids. Some of the social features offered at Enchanted Circle are trivia nights on Wednesdays, Ghost Story nights, and an abundance of sports activities. They are currently the bar for the local Chelsea Football Club. They have a ticket for all of the NFL games and they are in the market for an NFL team to call Enchanted Circle home! As a note, Shelley the general manager grew up near Cleveland so if there are any Browns fans out there, this is your place. They also show local sports such as the UNM Lobo basketball and New Mexico United Soccer teams. Amy is spearheading the promotion of SEC football and sports and would love for SEC fan groups to enjoy their games at the bar. Like them on Instagram or Facebook to keep up with the events at “Enchanted Circle Brewing in the 505”.
