WELCOME TO THE 31st Annual

dWE FEsTD

Our theme this year is “Livin’ the Dream in 2013!” and we are excited to proclaim it. For years we have worked incredibly hard to build this venue and event into what it is today. Coming off of our 30th Anniversary last year and what was arguably our biggest year to date, we really feel like we went from “chasing a dream” to actually “living the dream.” Without each of you, our fans, we are nothing but a dream...with you we have become America’s largest Country Music and Camping Festival! Thank you for supporting the dream and helping make it a reality. You have our utmost sincere gratitude...it really is all about you! Our number one goal without a doubt is to provide you with the venue, talent and an entertainment experience second to none that keeps you coming back for more. WE Fest is much more than a concert, or an evening out...it is a vacation,

a time to get reacquainted with old friends, a time to see great Artists, a time to have an experience of a life time...year after year. Your satisfaction is very important to us and we are committed to doing everything possible to make sure your experience is nothing less than amazing. We start by continuing to build and improve the site. In the recent past, we have added the new stadium seating, and the Reserved Lawn Chair section that provides you with a comfortable durable commemorative chair to take home with you after the show. We built new bathrooms that makes Soo Pass Ranch the ONLY venue of this size in the nation with NO port-a-potties in the Concert Bowl. We have upgraded our sound system and jumbotrons to be the very best the industry has to offer. We work very hard to bring in a great host of vendors to meet all of your needs and desires from a variety of

great food, to clothing and neat little shops. And just as important as all of this, we continue to hunt down and buy the best talent in the market. All of this is to make the site as comfortable for you as possible and your experience the absolute best it can be. Our goal and hope is to leave you very satisfied and going home saying “Wow, what a great time that was!” Our ongoing commitment to each of you going forward is to continue to develop and build this venue and your entertainment experience on a level that earns your trust, respect and continued loyal patronage.

y.

Have the time of your life, enjoy your family and friends, treat each other as you would want to be treated, and be safe.

From all of us on staff here to serve you, thank you again for making the dream a reality. See you again in 2014 where we will continue to Live the Dream!

FAME

Backstage during the WE Fest celebrations, one can see Alan Curtis and his wife Paula sweating in the hot sun or trying to find a dry spot- shoveling cement and gravel into a growling 50 year old electric cement mixer. Hands-in cement are completed for every National act that comes to the WE Fest for the first time. Since 1997 many of these monuments have been displayed in the WE Fest Walk of Fame dedicated to Alan Curtis’ father Ethan Curtis and located in the Picnic area near the Titan Machinery Barn Stage. All WE Festers should make a trip to the Walk of Fame, grab a cold Miller Lite and touch WE Fest Country music history.

WITH COWBOY TROY Big and Rich with Cowboy Troy music’s best party soundtrack

Big Kenny and John Rich may have put a nickname and a last name together to form Big and Rich Rich, but the pair lives up to the name; everything they do is truly big and rich. Their first work together was forming the MuzikMafia, an informal collection of Musicians including Gretchen Wilson, James Otto, and Cowboy Troy, with special guests at their jams that included Kid Rock, 3 Doors Down, Jewel, Bobby Brown, Sisqo and Bon Jovi. For their second single Save a Horse (Ride a Cowboy) off their debut album Horse of a Different Color, they made an uproarious video featuring a banjo toting marching band, fur coats and dance troupes with multiple costume changes. After two more well-received albums, Comin’ to Your City and Between Raising Hell and Amazing Grace, the band went on hiatus, requiring a break from being so constantly big and rich. It was time well spent as they stormed back with 2012’s Hillbilly Jedi. If Hillbilly Jedis exist, these two certainly fit the bill. We can’t wait for them to bring their talents to the Miller Lite Main Stage this year.

eric church

Eric Church- recently released his first live CD, Caught in the Act: Live Eric Church’s 2012 rise from smoky bars to sold-out stadiums has made his already high energy shows edgier, more ruckus, and an even better time. Mr. Church has clawed his way into the country mainstream with a series of post-outlaw anthems, and delivered them with verve and tension, as if he might not be allowed to for much longer. The New York Times Created in the live spirit, Church’s multi-award winning album Chief was recently selected as Album of the Year at the 2013 ACM Awards. “I couldn’t be prouder. It’s the one award I want the most. Album of the Year is the one that is most special to me,” Eric said at the awards ceremony. Church has followed that up with one of the most impressive releases of the year: his first live CD Caught in the Act: Live. The album cements his reputation as one of the best live performers in country music today. After his electrifying 2012 performance, Eric Church asked the crowd of Churchgoers if he should come back. Our ears are still ringing from the response and we’re excited to have him back and headlining Thursday Night on the Miller Lite Main Stage. – 32 –

DUSTIN LYNCH

Dustin Lynch - can make you shed a tear or your clothes from one song to the next. Dustin Lynch is unique in the country music scene today. Equally at home writing party songs and ballads, he can make you shed a tear or your clothes from one song to the next. A self professed workaholic, Lynch wasted no time in making his dream a reality - at 18 he moved to Nashville to pursue a music career, buying an apartment directly behind and spending his evenings at the famed Bluebird Café, the songwriting center of the Nashville universe where both Garth Brooks and Taylor Swift were discovered. His efforts were rewarded with his listing as an artist-to-watch in 2012 and a self-titled release that hit Number one on both the US Country and Indie charts. Wild in Your Smile, Lynch‘s third single from the album is another vocal showcase for the 28-year-old Tennessee native. The sky’s the limit for Dustin Lynch and we can’t wait to see him on our stage for years to come.

gARYaLLAN Gary Allan- you can bet 2013 will be the year of Allan

Gary Allan is the best of country music - steeped in the tradition of the past but never afraid to move forward. Just as comfortable playing honky-tonk as he is playing a hard driving country rock tune, a show with Allan is like nothing else. A master performer, he turns even his personal tragedy into a song that will grab you and not let go. His crowd rockin’ distinctive yet traditional style has yielded seven Top Ten Albums including two Number Ones and three Number One singles with eight more singles in the Top Ten. With a new album, Set You Free, released in January, you can bet 2013 will be the year of Gary Allan. His set on the Miller Lite Main Stage will be unforgettable.

Hitchville Hitchville- expect the unexpected… and bring your boots.

A unique fusion of two of Minneapolis’ accomplished rock and country vocalists, Heidi & Matt are bringing back the essence of a genre that originated in the U.S. on the corner of country and rock. Hitchville’s harmonies on their debut album featuring singles Whoop it Up, Fly and I Ain’t Gonna Lie, combine the proven musical talents of its members to bring WE Fest country a fresh new sound, mixing pure country with a raw style of rock. The combination of face-melting vocals and “don’t try this at home” instrumental solos leads to an unforgettable live show the band has worked tirelessly to produce.

kenny rogers

Kenny Rogers- Legendary member of the Country Music Hall of Fame When you first heard Kenny Rogers sing, it was more than likely when he was still a member of a group called The First Edition. From that time, he went into the field of country music impacting the Nashville country music scene with his recordings. In April he was one of three who were chosen to be inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame. It’s not just an award for best song or album of the year. This is a lifetime achievement award with some of the best in the business. Sit back under the stars and enjoy the entertainment legend Kenny Rogers - the universally beloved artist who has sold more than 120 million albums during his storied 54 year career – 66 –

The singer-songwriter penned 10 songs on the 12-track record which includes Wagon Wheel, the hit single featuring Lady Antebellum. So far, Rucker’s version of Wagon Wheel is the most successful song of his country career. The cut from his third Nashville-recorded album, True Believers, has sold over 1.2 million copies and sat atop the country charts for three consecutive weeks earlier this year. carrie underwood Carrie Underwood six-time Grammy Award winner

Carrie Underwood’s release, Blown Away, made history last year when it debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums Chart making the Oklahoma native only the second country artist in the 47-year history of the chart to have each of their first four albums debut at #1. Concert review critics praised Underwood throughout her international Blown Away Tour. “Thousands of fans on their feet throughout the opening number, singing along with every word, clapping their hands to the beat; that’s what it looks like when a bona fide star in the prime of her career comes through town,” said the Yakima Herald and the Charleston Gazette claimed, “…her shining stage presence, ostentatious and ever-changing wardrobe and extravagant concert accoutrement, … her set featured a solid mix of fan favorites both old and new.” Brad Paisley is even more direct. “She’s the best female singer we’ve had in our format maybe ever. She was a nobody in Oklahoma. On the first tour, she told me, ‘I feel like I am a celebrity for no reason, like people are resentful I didn’t have to play bars for 10 years to get a record deal.’ And I told her she was one of the greatest gifts we have been given in Nashville.” WE saved the best for last, with her peerless powerhouse vocals Carrie Underwood
