Save the Date for Mary and the Eucharist on Saturday, May 13th
Bishop Gregory Parkes invites you to the fifth annual Diocese of St. Petersburg Marian Congress! The theme this year is ‘Mary and the Eucharist.” Our Blessed Mother has a special role in leading us to her son, Jesus in the Eucharist. Save the date to participate in the Marian Congress on May 13th at the Cathedral of St. Jude the Apostle (5815 5th Avenue N., St. Petersburg). This day of joy, renewal and prayer will include dynamic speakers, Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, a multicultural Rosary and Mass with Bishop Gregory Parkes. Also, renew your consecration or be consecrated to Jesus through Mary for the first time. To learn more, visit www.FloridaMarianCongress.org
I pray these lines find all doing well, all is great here at Incarnation Central. Still a little busy as we will be celebrating our youth Confirmations as well as First holy Communions. This makes for a busy time but also a wonderful time to rejoice for our youth who are growing - in their faith.
Today we hear about the disciples on the road to Emmaus. Jesus appears to them, yet they do not recognize Him, but, as was mentioned later in the scripture, when they think back, they are able to recognize that their hearts were burning when Jesus spoke with them. One of my favorite parts of today’s Gospel spea ks of Jesus interpreting in the Old Testament all that referred to the Messiah.
A quick thought for the day is – how often is Jesus in our midst? Certainly, we know He is present in the Eucharist. He tells us also that, “Where two or three are gathered together in my name, I am there in their midst.” This being stated, there are so many other times when the Lord is present and walks with us th roughout our lives. May we be given the eyes to see Him and the ears to hear His voice! God Bless You! Love, Fr. Mike

TODAY’S READINGS
First Reading: “This man, delivered up by the set plan and foreknowledge of God, you killed, using lawless men to crucify him. But God raised him up, releasing him from the throes of death, because it was impossible for him to be held by it.” (Acts 2:23-24)
Psalm: Lord, you will show us the path of life. (Ps 16)Or Alleluia.
Second Reading: Conduct yourselves with reverence during the time of your sojourning, realizing that you were ransomed from your futile conduct, handed on by your ancestors, not with perishable things like silver or gold but with the precious blood of Christ as of a spotless unblemished lamb. (1 Pt 1:17-19)
Gospel: And it happened that, while he was with them at table, he took bread, said the blessing, broke it, and gave it to them. With that their eyes were opened and they recognized him, but he vanished from their sight. (Lk 24:30-31)

THIRD SUNDAY OF EASTER
Matt Shirina dff@icctampa.orgWe only have two more classes. This year has gone by so quickly. Please make sure to read the bulletin and Facebook as well as our church website for future dates for Faith Formation registration. Remember when you register to tell us if your child is supposed to be making a sacrament as well.
Our Communicants had their first workshop last weekend and were very busy making banners as well as other activities. Our next workshop for Communion is April 22nd at 10:00am. If your child missed Reconciliation on February 11th, please let Judy in the Faith Formation Office know when they completed Confession.

Mike
