I pray that all are doing well. I know it is a busy time, some are done with finals and already on vacation, some have a few more weeks and we are into summer. We have been busy here with Confirmation and just last week we celebrated First Holy Communion. This time of year, is always a wonderful time beginning with Holy Week and then followed up with many wonderful celebrations.
Happy Mother’s Day to all the Moms out there. I pray you have a wonderful day and that going to Mass, listening to the homily and reading this article are the toughest things you do all day!! LOL To all who still have their Moms, please cherish your time with them, make sure you let them know how much you love them and never take them for granted. For those who have lost their Moms, (please know I share in this) a friend of mine once shared something which made all the difference for me. I realize that I cannot be with my Mom but, in Heaven, my Mom is wi th her Mom. Moms are a very special gift of God and speaking as one who had a Mom, we Thank You for all you do, for all you sacrifice as well as for your unconditional love. May you be Blessed, today and always!
This being Mother’s Day it makes so much sense that our Gospel is flooded with the subject of Love. The love we receive from our folks is how we understand and begin to appreciate the Love of our God – Father, Son and Holy Spirit. May we come to a greater understanding of just how loved we truly are!
God Bless You. Have a great week and again-Happy Mother’s Day, Love, Fr. Mike
PRAYER FOR MOTHERS
Heavenly Father, from the beginning you have chosen to entrust the human person to mothers in a special way. We thank and praise you for the gift of mothers; for their tenderness, care, and compassion, for their intuition and encouragement, for commitment and sacrifice.
Bless all mothers this day Keep, strengthen, and refresh them in your loving care. May they be blessed by our open-hearted love and gratitude.
Amen.

SIXTH SUNDAY OF EASTER MAY 14, 2023
