‘The Gathering ’
– A Celebration Of Arts And Culture On Sunday 23rd May 2021, the Irish Wolfhound Club of Qld were invited to ‘The Gathering’ at the Ipswich Turf Club.
ambassadors for the breed. ‘The Gathering’ was a wonderful opportunity to promote our dogs to the wider community and answer any questions.
The annual event, which began 30 years ago, celebrates all things Scottish, Irish, Welsh, Spanish and Celtic. Attended by thousands, the day included performances by the City of Ipswich Pipe Band, sword fight re-enactments, Celtic food and even Haggis – if you dared!
The club has plans to attend the All Dogs Sports Spectacular at Dogs Queensland Sports Grounds on 22 August 2021 as well as their Specialty Show at Durack on Saturday 7 August 2021 at midday.
This was the clubs first year of attendance and they’re hoping to make it an annual event. 13 Irish Wolfhounds were in attendance – all of them great
