Franz-Joseph Huainigg was born 1996 and has paralyzed legs since he was a baby. He studied German language and literature as well as medial communication at the University of Klagenfurt. Verena Hochleitner studied graphic design at the Viennese University for applied arts. Since 2009 she mainly illustrates children books and picture books. Furthermore she also likes to write texts by herself. 2012 she got the outstanding artist award in the category children literature.

The author
Prof. Lene Mayer-Skumanz was born in 1939. After studies of German literature and the classics she first was a teacher until 1965, then she decided to be a writer. Additionally she was editor of the children’s magazine “Weite Welt”. For her literary pieces in the field of children literature with focus on religious topics she already got a lot of awards and prizes. She is one of the greatest Austrian writers of children’s books.
Annett Stolarski studied graphic arts at the College for Applied Arts in Vienna as well as at the Muthesius-College in Kiel. Her pictures are already to be found in lot of books, additionally she is working in the field of art education. The illustrator

The movie received a lot of international prizes (e.g. Prix Camério, Prix CIFEJ) and was shown at diverse festivals.
The illustrator Judith Saupper was born 1975 in Feldkirch (Vorarlberg). She studied stage and set design at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna. Her artworks were already exhibited at different places in Austria. She is an independent set designer for commercials, television films and movies.

Author
Franz- Joseph Huainigg was born in 1966. From very young age on, he suffers from a palsy affecting both legs. Huainigg studied German studies and medial communication in Klagenfurt. Apart from holding a position in the Austrian National Assembly, Huainigg is the spokesman for handycapped people, representing their interests.
Illustrator
Annegret Ritter, born in 1964 in Freiberg, has focussed on toy-design during her education. After employments in this specific sector, Ritter participated in various projects building and designing playgrounds and working with children. In 1991 Ritter published her first illustrated children’s book, which was at the same time her first cooperation with Huainigg.

Sarah Michaela Orlovský, born in 1984 in Upper Austria, collected inspiration in Vienna, Zambia, Armenia, Athiopia, Slovakia and Rwanda to fill her notebook with. Recently, she tries on a settled life in Vöcklabruck where she works in a youth center.
Illustrator
Born in 1973, Andreas Peham studied philosophy, psychology and maths. For 11 years he was employed as a teacher. During this time, he was educated in mediation and in the Waldorf-concept of education. He spends time in nature and with his family, when he is not dedicating himself to art.
