PAST RECORD PAST PASTRECORD RECORD

Rovers have only one competitive victory over today’s opponents, with the 3-0 win in August 2018 the only success for those in red and white hoops. Although it took almost an hour for Rovers to open the scoring against Gareth Ainsworth’s men, goals from Mallik Wilks, Joe Wright and John Marquis secured what was in the end a comfortable 3-0 win. Rovers could have claimed a league double, too, as they took a 2-0 lead at Adams Park. But stoppage time goals from Paris Cowan-Hall and Curtis Thompson sealed a 3-2 win for the Chairboys and continued the hoodoo they have over Rovers on home soil. That run continued earlier this season when Joe Jacobson converted a penalty kick in stoppage time when Rovers looked to have battled their way to a goalless draw. Wycombe completed a double over Rovers in the 1993/94 season, shortly after their elevation into the Football League. A Carling Cup meeting in 2006, which Wycombe won on penalties, was the only meeting prior to the resumption of league meetings in 2016/17.
