INTRODUCTION

This is a brand reinvention project for Kodak. The goal is to continue the brand with the same brand soul but expand to different business areas, turning Kodak into a brand new company. This project will explore various methods of research to discover the brand vision, audience, mood and eventually reinvent of their brand through industry-standard techniques and practices — and they will bring this brand to life through the creation of a collection of integrated collateral. Upon completion of this project, Kodak will be presented in a new look through the fundamentals of branding, including the creation of an integrated aesthetic based on analysis, research and intuition. In this Visual Strategy Guide we will present the evolution of Kodak since its beginning and how it will be in the future.

Kodak has been a brand dedicated to enable people to capture and preser ve memories of life. During the visual development process, symbol s of memor y and longevit y were conceptually and visually explored. Through this process the visual s have evolved fur ther into abstraction, taking the shapes of the elephant to evoke the idea of memor y and longevit y. These ideas were al so explored and translated into t ypography, and expressed in the custom logot ype
