With the world becoming ever more virtual, tech developments are even more important to developing the future, than they have been in shaping the past. The Global Business Tech Awards rewards tech that has added tangible benefits to customer experience, management systems, marketing and sales information storage and data tracking. Our thanks must go to Tribe Global, partners of the Global Business Tech Awards and to the panel of industry leaders and experts who helped determine the shortlist and eventual winners. FINTECH COMPANY OF THE YEAR WINNER: POLLINATE SUMMARY
FinTech Company of the Year would acknowledge an impressive year for Pollinate’s dedicated team. With some amazing and collaborative projects with NatWest we have seen the difference a fintech can have when they work with an established bank like NatWest. We have enjoyed helping them re-establish themselves at the centre of the payment space for merchants. The platform powers merchant and consumer digital experiences including onboarding, merchant and customer support portals and loyalty programmes, without costly and distracting platform migrations. This allows merchants to more effectively manage their businesses with digital tools and data, grow their businesses by connecting with their customers, and give back to their local communities. This award would recognise the work of Pollinate’s team who not only embraced remote working but continued to innovate, talk to merchants and increase the pace of improvements in the platform for merchants who desperately needed low cost, easy to use contactless payments.
WHAT THE JUDGES SAY We thought that the product was beautifully crafted! It gave a great user experience and a user-centric approach to traditional products. The documentation and vision was very clear and it seems to be attached to many markets.

PROPERTY TECH COMPANY OF THE YEAR WINNER: DISRUPTIVE TECHNOLOGIES SUMMARY Disruptive Technologies (DT) wireless sensors are the smallest in the world (size of a stamp). The new Industrial Temperature Sensor has a 15-year battery life and proven reliability at extreme temperatures. This unique capability makes buildings intelligent and sustainable quickly, easily, and in a cost-efficient manner. This sensor can be used as a standalone device to give critical notification of temperature changes or it can be used as a part of a complete solution to automate the entire building and all assets/equipment contained within. Our sensor solution has yielded proven results as was demonstrated with the Elvia power plant substation where predictive maintenance saved countless financial and human resources by avoiding an outage or fire before it happened. This sensor also proves to be a powerful tool in cold storage solutions in the quest to vaccinate the global population by preventing vaccine spoilage, and the battle against food waste. Receiving this award would further validate that we are gaining traction in our quest to bring sustainable solutions to places where sustainability was once considered too impractical to be implemented. We believe our wireless sensor solution can transform residential and commercial buildings, for example, into beacons of modern sustainable practices.

Our technology ensures genuine users have frictionless access in real-time, while preventing non-human traffic from compromising businesses. BEST USE OF DATA WINNER: INCUBETA & LAITHWAITE WINE (Pub) Crawling Amazon for Laithwaites Success SUMMARY As the world’s largest marketplace, Amazon represents a huge ecommerce opportunity, & a chance for marketers to flex their CPC muscles in a mostly untapped advertising space. Incubeta took Laithwaite’s Wine’s fatigued Amazon Merchant Page, and created a campaign. With harsh competition from cheaper, low quality competitors Laithewaite’s were having limited success on Amazon Marketplace. They needed to connect with the purchase-ready audiences, while competing with competitors whose cheaper prices & bigger budgets dominate. Amazon Advertising’s analytics are notoriously bad, so through the creation of our own proprietary technology and clever manipulation of Amazon’s advertising features, we could view Laithwaites share of voice & average position, alongside other metrics such as CTR. This allowed us to navigate campaigns across top keywords, leading to smarter ad placements, & improved ACoS. Our Amazon insights tool drove revenue and cut ACoS by more than half. The future of marketing is innovations like these, and winning would showcase our teams amazing talent & inspire them to continue acting as thought leaders.
WHAT THE JUDGES SAY This was a thorough campaign, demonstrating a strong improvement in performance. It was refreshing to see this new approach! We were impressed by the way they have developed new tech, in a commodity market which could be a tricky job.
