The online supermarket industry was in an “introduction phase” in Romania. Industries in this life cycle have participants that tend to be unprofitable, because expenses are incurred to develop and market the offering, while revenues are still low. We had extra pressure to deliver quick ROI in this climate. The user intent in this industry is unusual. The vast majority of head terms (category/ product names) are informational queries. Therefore, we had to create a lot of content while making sure we keep a high conversion rate on the ranking pages. During the COVID-19 pandemic a big opportunity arose for online supermarkets and we put in place a strategy to make the most of it. Despite the challenges, our strategy and execution made our client dominate SERPs both for informational and transactional queries. We have well exceeded our traffic and revenue goals. TMI is an independent, performance-driven digital media agency. We have been working with Thomson Reuters/Refinitiv since June 2018. In the second half of 2018, we focussed our efforts on the expansion of the AMERs region and in 2019, we were given increased budgets in order to take on the challenge of global expansion of the Refinitiv Brand.

To win this award would be a major achievement for TMI as it would signify a major operational triumph given that the project is so immensely large in scope and long-term in its orientation. Not only did it involve a restructure of the account but also rebranding of Refinitiv which was formerly known as Financial & Risk division of Thomson Reuters. The project focussed both on improving efficiency and increasing performance as well as familiarising consumers with the Refinitiv brand. We were tasked with making MoM efficiency improvements throughout 2019 whilst scaling Lead volume. We have more than achieved this goal, increasing Leads by 5-fold and decreasing CPL by 70%. As a result, budgets doubled for Q4 2019 and for the start of 2020.

The campaign was delivered in a well thought-out manner. They demonstrated impressive conversion rates and cost reductions in conversion over time.

Best Not-for-Profit Campaign FRANK & THE LEWIS PUGH FOUNDATION The Long Swim SUMMARY Thousands of amateur swimmers swim the English Channel every year. The majority swim the 17 miles from Dover to Calais but Lewis Pugh isn’t like the majority of people. The Long Swim was the story of one man’s act of Herculean physical endurance that saw him swim the length of the world’s busiest shipping lane, to draw international attention to the triple threat facing the world’s oceans and the UK coastline, Last summer, The UN Patron of The Oceans swam 560km in 49 days with every stroke designed to instigate a renewed international focus on environmental issues. The Long Swim ended in Dover, where Lewis was met by the Environment Secretary Michael Gove. Three weeks later, Mr. Gove headed to the UN General Assembly in NYC & pledged that the UK would lead a global commitment towards protecting the world’s oceans.

After having challenges driving inbound leads, they approached us to help with their digital strategy. To increase inbound leads, we carried out a deep analysis of their current target audience and previous performance. Our comprehensive analysis led to the creation of a highly-targeted, integrated digital marketing strategy, with social advertising working alongside SEO and content, targeting a completely new audience for J+D. Our target was to achieve 3 enquiries per month. Such was the success of the campaign, we averaged 16 high-quality enquiries per month, leading to exponential growth for J+D and an ongoing relationship as their digital marketing agency. There’s no doubt that we’re a small agency, but we have a huge impact on our clients’ businesses. Winning this award would not help us stand out as a credible and effective agency, but also help us attract the best talent to continue growth.

To celebrate the launch of the Huawei P30 Pro, the phone with unparalleled low-light photography capabilities. And what better way to show-off the handset’s low- light capabilities than to photograph something which only appears in the dark and is notoriously difficult to capture.

In addition, more than 4,000 people came to see the spectacle and following Frank’s media outreach, global media coverage was secured, spanning all the way to Australia where Frank replicated the spectacle in Sydney two weeks later.

AXA and Oban are rightly proud of this campaign which ran in 141 countries and comprised worldwide always on PPC, generation and localisation of website content and technical SEO. Our targets for FY 19/20 were to deliver a third more organic traffic and reduce the CPA by 25%. However, new complex compliance regulations brought in on the back of Brexit, IDD and more were threatening to destroy our existing highly successful campaign. We took the opportunity to get back to basics and challenge everything we were doing. Through meticulous attention to detail, hyper granular planning, an innovative restructure and improved timeliness of response we smashed our targets. In the previous year we had reduced the CPA from £137 to £65. By the end of March 2020, we were delivering £18 CPA and 68% more organic traffic, with as many leads as the client could service. We would be thrilled for a global campaign in a highly regulated sector with complex global rules to win - for outstanding results, delivered through meticulous planning and implementation and sheer hard work.

In 2015, The Media Image won the Best Small PPC Agency award at the 2015 UK Search Awards. At that stage, the agency had 8 staff. Since then, TMI has opened 3 offices outside of London - in New York, Riga and Cape Town - and 60% of our revenue is generated in the United States. We employee 64 staff and have a 59% to 41% gender split in favour of women.

In 2019, we were nominated 4 times for Best Large PPC agency in various UK, US and European awards events as well as for the 2019 European Search Diversity, Inclusion & Equality Award. A week before the official opening of our American operations, we were nominated for Digital Agency of the Year in The Drum Agency Business Awards US. In early November 2019, we were nominated for the Rising Star of the Year Award in the 2019 Microsoft Advertising Regional Partner Awards. 2019 marked our inaugural listing on the FT future UK 100 and a second listing in the FT 1000: Europe’s Fastest Growing Companies. Winning Independent Agency of the Year would be the culmination of 5 years of deliberate and committed striving to scale this agency into the major leagues without losing the ability to service our clients and nurture our staff like we have always done.
JUDGES’ COMMENTS This particular agency have demonstrated solid objectives with huge staffing goals. Gender diversity is at their core which is so refreshing to see. The judges were impressed by their growth of net revenue and new employee’s, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Founded in 2009, Jargon PR delivers global campaigns across various sectors within the B2B technology industry. Based in Hampshire, our team achieves impressive business outcomes for clients and as a result, we have had another successful 12 months of growth and client wins. Underpinning our recent achievements are our core values. This includes the launch of our four-point Environmental Sustainability plan, becoming a nationally recognised ‘Disability Confident Employer’, and implementing the MIND wellness action plan to protect and care for our team members. Awards, nominations and league tables have all recognised Jargon PR’s growth and progress. To win the Global Agency Awards for PR Agency of the Year would truly round off an incredible year.
JUDGES’ COMMENTS We were a particular impressed with the focus on CSR this entry showcased including minimising its carbon footprint and environmental impact, and an emphasis on mental health, hidden disabilities and ethnic minorities. This is an agency that are actually addressing the gender balance in leadership which is great to see.

They have shown great growth recruiting and internal promotion for home grown talent recognition, coupled with an external focus to elevate the industry.
