Our new investors, Blackstone Private Equity, were looking for quick returns as we were expected to compete with Bloomberg and other comparable brands and websites that have been around for over 20 years. Historically Cunard’s strategy focused on driving efficient web traffic as a primary objective based on the knowledge that most customers researched onsite and then called to convert. The Coronavirus Pandemic caused our contact centres to be overwhelmed with calls not for new business but rather customers who understandably wanted information about their bookings. This in turn led to dramatic increases in CPC as well as CPA that, coupled with the conservatively revised budgets and drastic pauses in operations, we simply could not continue with our existing strategy. We needed to adapt quickly as, although consumer behaviour was changing quickly and entering uncharted waters, we knew there was still in-market demand that we could capitalize on. Since implementing the new Conversion Funnel based strategy, we have seen continuous performance improvement which has been recognized as a success within the business. This is the only paid media we are currently running so it was critical to justify return on investment. Apart from ROI, the additional improvement in engagement metrics on-site such as Visits to Carts and even Revenue Per Visit proved that our strategy worked as we’d hoped and receiving an award to recognize this further would make this success even sweeter!

With that in mind, they made the decision to look at external resources to help them with their SEO. In January of 2019, Blink Health came to Victorious for help. Theirs was a site with thousands of different drugs, customer testimonials, and informational pages; yet they had hardly any Page 1 rankings. Their brand had authority and trust with consumers, but their SEO strategy was extremely lacking. Victorious was able to help identify a number of technical issues. We made the recommendation to implement monthly backlinks to help turn their SEO around, to help them finally start capitalizing on this potentially lucrative business space. Our small in-house team works across 8 different vehicle verticals (Motorcycle, RV, Commercial Truck, ATV, Aero, Personal Watercraft, Snowmobile, Equipment (Construction and Agricultural), of which we’re the industry leader in several of those (the market leader status of Truck we regained after falling to 2nd from April 2019-Oct 2019) and over the past year has shown that a dedicated focus on getting digital marketing right, pays off.
