The American Legion Riders, Post 11, held their annual Toy Run benefiting the Wayne Uplift Domestic Violence Program, Boys and Girls Clubs of Wayne County, and Local Families in Need.
The Toy Run began at Berkely Mall at 12 noon, with KSU at 2pm and ended at the American Legion Post 11, where an after party with live music and food was served to all that had participated and donated to the cause. Over 300
Bikers and lots of cagers turned out to donate toys and money for the benefit. On December 4th, the annual Motorcycle Riders Silent Auction was held at the Flying Shamrock in Goldsboro, NC, in Memory of Margaret Parker and Wanda Walston, and the total proceeds raised from the Toy Run and Auction was $4,751.00 along with lots and lots of toys.
Lots of children were definitely made happy this Christmas. A big THANK YOU, goes out to all the Volunteers and people that donated their time, food, toys, auction items, to always make this event so successful. Thank you to the Legion Riders, Post 11 for continuing on this most important event each year. Much Love and respect to you all!
