Using dōTERRA ® Essential Oils safely
Depending on the product and the purpose for which it’s being used, there are several different ways to experience the benefits of essential oils.
Inhale the essential oil’s aroma or add three to four drops to an essential oil diffuser. This is the most common way of using essential oils and can be enjoyed by people of all ages.
Add one to two drops to food or drink. This method is only suitable for some essential oils so it’s best to always check the label.
Topical Apply to the skin and gently massage. Avoid application to areas like the eyes, ears or nose, and unless specified, avoid using on broken or damaged skin. Before applying, dilute essential oils with a carrier oil like dōTERRA® Fractionated Coconut Oil to minimise the risk of any skin sensitivity.
REMEMBER
According to TGA guidelines, oils when labelled or promoted for cosmetic purposes cannot be promoted for oral consumption.
