Douglas Park is one of the many original land plats that make up our neighborhood. Others, such as the Kenwood Division, and Hillside plats collectively are what we now know as the Olympic Hills neighborhood in north Seattle. During a neighborhood brainstorming session where we tried to come up with a name for our organization, one of our senior members mentioned the Douglas Park land plat. And the name stuck. Members of the Douglas Park Cooperative are neighbors working together to build community, solve problems and reduce crime and fear in their neighborhood.
