We are currently averaging 2 press releases per week from the City of Douglasville to our various media lists. Media Lists are Segmented by Content: • Local Media List • Full Media List

Segmentation helps to target content to proper outlets and prevents oversaturation of irrelevant content to broader outlets.

As of 6/7/19, we have 2,111 likes. • Official Pages have been launched on Twitter and Instagram ion addition to the city Facebook page. Timeline:

City Website Redesign

• We are currently set to go live no later than September 30th. • We are hoping for closer to August if possible. • This will line up with the timeline for our Social Media merger as well so we can have a big launch for both at the same time.

Improved Event Process

Marketing and Events Coordinator:

Tiffany Wallace Since coming onboard we have built out the City events calendar and began the process of approving or denying city event requests based on scheduling conflicts. Ms. Wallace is now involved at some level in the planning process of all city events to ensure best practices. We are now helping to promote all city events both internally and externally through established communications and advertising outlets.


Improved Event Process

Next steps: • Establish a list of signature city events • Present a 2020 City Events Calendar to council by end of 2019 with set dates and preliminary information for signature events • Establish a timeline and process for coordinating with other departments for event execution
