• The pool will remain open during light rain, but not during lightning storms. • Children ages 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult; not an older teenager. • Groups of 20 or more need to make arrangements for admission by calling 770-920-3009. Swimming Pool Reservations Swimming pool reservations for private parties are available during hours when the pool is not open to the public. Pool reservations are $60.00 per two hours, along with $15.00 an hour for a minimum of two lifeguards.

The Douglasville Parks and Recreation adaptive baseball league’s mission is to provide developmental and progressive sport opportunities to individuals with physical and mental disabilities that improve the quality of life for the participants and their family. Our six (6) week program begins April 11th, is played Saturday mornings, and utilizes volunteers to buddy up with participants to enhance their game experience.
Participation includes 10 weeks of league play, followed by an end of season tournament in May to crown a winner. Winners of each league will receive customized shirts and team award.

KDO (Kids Day Off) Camp is a minicamp session for campers during the days that schools aren’t in operation. KDO Camps are modified versions of Camp FUNtastic, where campers engage in various social, educational, environmental and recreational activities.

Camp Funtastic (Summer Camp)
West Pines Golf Club conducts a Junior Golf Camp for youth every summer. Participants will learn the rules of the game and course etiquette, along with putting, chipping and swinging fundamentals. The camp is led by a PGA certified instructor. Cost includes instruction and lunch each day.

Dance 4 Flowers is a gender neutral dance program for boys and girls. Designed for ages 2-12, children will learn jazz, hip hop and creative movement all wrapped into one 60 minute class. This Saturday class is guaranteed to be full of fun, high energy and dance technique skills. Dance 4 Flowers is the perfect introductory program for a child that loves to dance but has little dance experience or formal training. The best part is...no dance apparel required! Leggings, sweatpants and T-shirts are recommended. Dance shoes are strongly recommended. Every child that completes the program will participate in a Spring Showcase and receive a T-shirt. Classes - $85/6 weeks Are you interested in learning American Sign Language (ASL)? Learning ASL will allow you to communicate using the 3rd most common language used in the United States. ASL is now recognized as a foreign language at the college level and is beginning to be offered in more high schools as a foreign language as well. Learning to sign can open many opportunities for growth in both your personal and professional life and it’s a lot of fun too!

Join us for Sign & Play classes in American Sign Language (ASL)! Parents and their children will interact together as they learn in an environment designed specifically for young children. The ASL Kids Club is designed for children to learn and practice ASL through play. Children will interact with intermediate level signers who encourage ASL in a playbased setting geared specifically for children under the age of eight.
Fee: Free Cast your line and see what you can catch at Hunter Park’s Lake during our annual Fishing Derby. Prizes awarded for most fish caught. Breakfast With The Easter Bunny Location: Hunter Memorial Park Date: April 4 Time: ....................... 9:00am - 11:00am The Easter Bunny is stopping by Hunter Park for breakfast and wants you to join in! During breakfast the Easter Bunny will be hopping around visiting with guests. After breakfast, hundreds of Easter eggs will decorate our lawn for children to find. The egg hunts will be divided into three different age groups (0-4, 5-8, & 9-12), and there will be prizes for golden eggs, raffles, and candy. This is an event that all the family can enjoy and is free to attend. The event is in partnership with the Rho Pi Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc.
