Decor Trends It is the little things that matter the most even in your home. That’s why we think it is important, even the smallest of spaces maximize the area to its fullest potential. One way to do this is by using light colours throughout the space, avoiding bold patterns. Although some patterns in the space are good to create visual interest, these should be small or subtle in appearance to not overpower the limited footprint. Keeping your furniture on a smaller scale can also make a big impact. Selecting pieces with a reduced footprint or a low back/low profile will help keep the furniture from overpowering the room. Another tip would be to incorporate floating or open base furniture like wall mounted cabinets or a piece with high furniture legs to aid in creating an open and airy atmosphere. The same can be said of having multipurpose or folding furniture – having a furniture piece that can function as two pieces or even three would help to save vital floor space in your small area. And lastly when in doubt, declutter. Don’t get me wrong, we love an accessory to give your space personality, but in this instance, less is always more. A well-placed beloved item can make more of an impact than having multiple items scattered about. Whatever the your style implanting, these tips will help create a calm and inviting space for you and your family to share.

Recipe of the Month Buffalo Chicken Dip Ingredients 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened 1 cup chopped cooked chicken breast 1/2 cup Buffalo wing sauce 1/2 cup ranch or blue cheese salad dressing 2 cups shredded Colby-Monterey Jack cheese French bread baguette slices, celery ribs or tortilla chips Directions 1. Preheat oven to 350°. Spread cream cheese into an ungreased shallow 1-qt. baking dish. Layer with chicken, wing sauce and salad dressing. Sprinkle with cheese. 2. Bake, uncovered, until cheese is melted, 20-25 minutes. Serve with baguette slices.
