Community Engagement We sat down with Suzie Dennis, Director of Sales and Community Engagement, and asked her what Project Giveback means to her, and the Doug Tarry team. Here’s what she had to say...

How has the community engagement position impacted your life personally? I am extremely honoured to be given this opportunity with Doug Tarry Homes. It has been a privilege and honor to meet and work with so many wonderful people in our community. I have definitely found myself being more active personally within our community and having my husband and kids part of that as well.

What is your favourite part/most rewarding part about the job? My favorite part... well it would have to be seeing the smiles on the people I get to help. They smile & in turn I smile & it becomes contagious.

How do you see the impact within the company and staff? Having staff see the difference we make as a company within the community has really lifted people up knowing they work for a company that will always give support and help to those in need, gives peace of mind to them as well being able to believe and know they will also always be taken care of in so many different ways!

What has been your favourite give back project so far? Believe it or not, it would have been making lunches at a local church and seeing that though everyone was dealing with the covid pandemic, they were still finding a way to help.

How did the company find out there was such a need for this position within the community? Every community has a need, it’s just realizing that even if you can help in a small way, it can go a long way.

Recipe of the Month Triple-Layer Lemon Pie Ingredients 2 pkg. (3.4 oz. each) JELL-O Lemon Flavor Instant Pudding 2 cups cold milk 1 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice 1 ready-to-use graham cracker crumb crust (6 oz.) 1 tub (8 oz.) COOL WHIP Whipped Topping, thawed, divided

Directions 1. Beat pudding mixes, milk and juice with whisk 2 min. (Pudding will be thick.) Spread 1-1/2 cups pudding onto bottom of pie crust. 2. Whisk half the COOL WHIP into remaining pudding. Spread COOL WHIP mixture over pudding layer in crust; top with remaining COOL WHIP. 3. Refrigerate 4 hours or until firm.
