Immersed in abundant beams of natural light, the Queen Elizabeth Suite hosts your wedding party in an entirely private 2,400-square-foot wing of the estate house.
Located on the second floor, Queen Elizabeth is the perfect location for snacks and libations while hair and makeup services are underway, as well as for those memorable getting-ready portraits and intimate moments before your exchange "I do".
As the primary suite of the original residence, Queen Elizabeth boasts full privacy, immaculate views of the grounds off the private balcony, and some of the most exquisite furnishings and art of the entire estate.

If antique taxidermy isn't your thing, both the Summer Kitchen and Great Room are located right across the hall. These spacious rooms offer a more relaxed atmosphere, floor-to-ceiling natural light, soft seating, and a Wurlitzer player piano

While the outdoor locations, such as the Reflecting Pool, Bluestone Terrace, Two-Tiered Garden, Rose Garden, and Cobblestone Court are desirable on a lovely, temperate Virginia day, the Ballroom acts as an ideal indoor location.
With a wealth of alternative ceremony backdrops also available, couples can be creative and hold their ceremonies in an array of other spaces as our estate grounds permit

Following the ceremony, some couples host their Cocktail Hour outdoors so guests can enjoy the lush gardens and grounds.
Alternatively, invite your guests to explore the First Floor of Dover Hall during an immersive cocktail hour Wandering through the two-tiered Library, formal Dining Room, and Parlor will surely be a conversational experience for your guests. The Pub Bar is a picturesque space to grab a signature libation before indulging in our culinary creations
Locally sourced ingredients featured in artisan passed canapés will pair perfectly with specially curated beverage packages – featuring our own 7 Lady Vineyards wines!

Magnificent in both size and style, Dover Hall is the ideal location to host magnificent wedding celebrations. The Ballroom's wood-coffered ceilings and wrought-iron chandeliers were custom manufactured for the space by Virginian artisans, while the sandstone fireplace originates from the coast of Scotland.
Located adjacent to the Bluestone Terrace and Terrace Bar, the Ballroom happily hosts seated and cocktail receptions alike The Ballroom comfortably seats up to 125 guests for a plated reception and may host up to 200 guests for a station or cocktail-style reception.
Dover Hall's NEW Glass Hall boasts 13-foot tall glass walls and a 24-foot ceiling with chandeliers and bistro lighting At approximately 6,400 square feet, this climate-controlled event space provides hosting capabilities for up to 400 guests. The Ballroom, just a few steps away, becomes the ideal dance floor to party the night away The bottom image on page 23 features an event with seating for 180 in the Glass Hall.

Hall is is such an amazing venue and only made better by the staff and service. My wife and I were married here in March 2023 and could not have asked for a better venue. From the moment we toured Dover Hall back in 2022, we knew this would be the place for us. From the beginning, our Sales Manager was such a pleasure to work with and we can't say enough great things about her. As we approached our date, our Event Manager came on-board and took the lead without hesitation. She was instrumental in organizing all of our details and worked so well with our Planner and the rest of our vendors. The week of the wedding was made so much easier with the help and guidance of them both, along with the rest of the Dover Hall staff. Each and every one of them was kind, personable, knowledgeable, and kept our thoughts and wishes at the top of their priority from Day 1. The wedding itself was truly amazing; everything we had dreamed of and more. From the outdoor ceremony, to the cocktail hour, to the ballroom reception, all of the logistics of the day were handled and executed flawlessly. The food was absolutely amazing and I cannot understate how many compliments we received from our guests. It only added to the amazing night they helped us pull off; we could wedding of our dreams without Dover Hall!!!"

"I do not even know where to start when it comes to describing the unreal magic that is Dover Hall.
I will start by saying my husband and I originally booked a castle in Ireland for our wedding venue, however with the pandemic we had to cancel that. Insert finding Dover Hall which is even BETTER than a castle in Ireland and I truly mean that. What's amazing about Dover is that it has such grandeur yet the staff is just so down to earth and kind. You would almost be intimidated to book a venue as lux as this however when dealing with the team at Dover you are almost dealing with family. When we did the tour we even met one of the owners and he was just the most kind and down to earth gentleman there ever was. The mechanics of choosing Dover for your special event is also so simple! Everything is in house and is top notch. I was told the filet at our wedding was the best filet our guest had ever had. The food was delicious! Dover was so accommodating and flexible given all the uncertainties and craziness with getting married during a pandemic, the staff is truly best in class. I will also note we booked our rehearsal dinner at their sister property Bartizan and that really blew us and our guest away and really kicked the wedding weekend off in a very special way. The whole experience was dreamy and stress-free. I am so happy that our Ireland wedding got canceled and we got married at Dover Hall"
