King George V – the Australian coins of the

Scarce, historic and always popular, we are delighted to present this extensive selection of King George V Australian coins from the 1920s!

Although a tragic, costly experience, WWI was the making of the Australian nation. Our Baptism of Fire triggered a new sense of national identity and unity, and inspired a sense of optimism for the future. Although Australians were weary, and looking to leave the hardships of wartime behind, the 1920s was the embodiment of that optimism.

The Roaring 20s was a time of great promise – a time when an internationally recognised, truly

independent Australian nation could emerge from the shadow of the Mother Country. Industry, technology, fashion, transport…the 1920s was a time of immense change. The coinage of the 1920s is a tangible reminder of this pivotal period, and offers you the chance to form a powerful bond with those who played such a key role in building the Australian nation in the aftermath of WWI.

As far as the coinage of the era was concerned, the mintages are notoriously low. When you consider the number lost or, in the case of silver coins, melted for the metal value, it’s no shock that Australia’s Roaring 20s coinage is increasingly

scarce in any grade. Comprising virtually every 1920s date – mints and types of our choice – this is your chance to create a collection in an instant!

Offered in highly collectable Very Good to Fine condition, the six George V coin denominations are available as individual sets. To truly take advantage of this opportunity, buy the 49-coin set and SAVE a staggering $350!

Every Indigenous Elder $2 date! In Uncirculated quality!

Highlighted by the first ever $2 coin issue of King Charles III, this sensational set features every Indigenous Elder $2 date from 1988 to 2024 – in strictly Uncirculated quality!

Featuring Australia’s first $2 coin, issued in 1988 to replace the $2 note and bearing the Maklouf portrait, the set also includes the first Rank-Broadley date (1999) and first Clark date (2019). Notable for the inclusion of two not-issued-for-circulation dates (1991 & 2023, the last Queen Elizabeth II $2 date), the series also encompasses several low-mintage issues. The 1993 Indigenous Elder $2, for example, has a mintage of 4.9 million, with the 2000 $2 having a

Every Perth Mint Half Sovereign date!

Underpinned by an enticing blend of history, beauty and prestige, the Perth Mint 1900-18P Half Sovereign Series is perhaps most notable for the extraordinarily low mintages.

The first Perth Mint half sovereign, and only Queen Victoria Perth Mint half sovereign, the 1900P had a mintage of just 119,376. Under Edward VII, the 1904P had a mintage of 60,030, with the mintages of the 1908P and 1909P being 24,668 and 44,022! Under George V, the 1911P and 1915P had mintages of just 130,373 and 138,219! A great rarity, the last half sovereign was struck in 1918, with less than 200 known!

With the mintages so low, and so many coins melted for the gold, it’s no surprise that this series is rarely offered as a complete collection. Act now!
