In this issue I loved working with great people, although it is always totally crazy how time consuming and well organized a project has to be. As in our first issue, concepts were developed and thrown away just minutes before the official release because new and amazing ideas were emerged. For our new fashion shoot, we had chosen a typical Austrian location, which shouldn’t represent the stereotype of „Heidi in the mountains“ but an idyllic world. It’s a panorama which is considered as a holiday an recreation resort, away from the hustle and bustle. If you’ve got the mountains and the atmosphere every day since your childhood, you don’t appreciate it as you should, until you haven’t got the privilege to enjoy it anymore. Enjoy our second issue, feel it as we do it and have fun with our new work.

Something new, something different, something special. It‘s all about a new issue! I am so excited to show you all what we‘ve been working on the last weeks. The second issue of TRASH magazine is all about being HOT, enjoying summer and express yourself. With our 3 photostorys, produced by me it was possible for me to try a lot new things in retouch and preparing. We worked with some unusual things like insects! It was a very special shoot for me to combine beauty and such awful little animals. But it was FUN. As Bianca told you already we are very proud of our „Heidi in the mountains“ story which is our biggest production yet. We had an amazing team and a wonderful, hot day in the nature. But look by yourself and enjoy our new issue. Special thanks to everybody who made it possible!

Thomas Burberry founded the British fashion brand in 1856. Burberry became known for their invention of the trench coat which was designed for the British military. Because of the trench coat, the military enjoyed big popularity in World War 1.

In 1937 Ray-Ban was founded as a daughter company of Bausch&Lomb, which was producer of medical-optical equipment with the involvement of the United States Army Air Corps. The previous year the first prototype “Anti-Glare” was produced and it got a plastic frame with green glasses. 1937 this prototype got a revision with a metallic frame and the Ray-Ban “Aviator” was born.

Levi Strauss & Co is worldwide known for his denim jeans and was founded in San Francisco in 1853. From the company Levi Strauss & Co denim overalls were already made in the 1870s, but the modern jeans emerged in the 20s.

Roy Halston Frowick became modiste in the fashion store Bergorf Goodman in the Fifth Avenue in 1958. He obtained national prominence for his hat creation of the Pillbox-hat that Jacqueline Kennedy wore in 1961 at the inauguration of her husband. With his design of women’s fashion, he was named by the U.S. magazine Newsweek for Premier Fashion Designers of America.

Christian Dior introduced the first pencil skirt in the late 1940s. With his new creation he detached the skinny and floor-length hobble skirt. The trend of the pencil skirt was very big in fashion in the early fifties and was very popular in office.

Coco Chanel created the Chanel suit, a two-parter from coarse tweed in 1954, which was the equivalent for the men’s suit and it stands for the emancipated elegance of women. This costume consists of a slightly flared skirt and a loose jacket, which reminds on a masculine jacket style but it got a feminine glamour because of the golden buttons.
