THIS ISSUE

Planning Our Year In February, we celebrate Valentine’s Day. This is a time set aside to show someone we really care about how much we love them. Also, even though it’s only the second month of the year, many people have begun to plan for 2013. Our Signs team is also looking ahead and preparing for this year. In January we added three part-time writers to our staff, and in February we began to expand our download links. Of course, this means more input and more output. Although there’s no shortage of material for our magazine, fresh material and new ideas are of the utmost importance to our Dream Team. With 2013 being the first full year of our publication, it’s so important for us to get it right. It’s not easy being a magazine that covers a vast array of spiritual topics. The topics themselves are easy to come up with, but the customer base is not. People that are religious will buy religious magazines, and people that are interested in the paranormal will buy paranormal magazines. However, we are a spiritual magazine that covers a variety of spiritual concepts, topics, and ideas. So in order for us to sell magazines, we need to appeal to open-minded truth seekers, people that consider all spiritual things as possible truth. Let me assure you, this is easier said than done. Here at Dream Central, we know the kind of people that like what we present, but getting the articles we produce to the potential customers is not easy. We rely on three websites the Signs Magazine website , dpdotcom, and Facebook, and also some radio ads to present our magazine. Like any new business adventure, we are always looking for innovative and creative ideas on how to reach a larger customer base. We are very frugal here at Signs Magazine. We are a small team, and we are very careful not to spend until the money is there to use. With that being said, powerful forces move slowly. You may not see our Signs Magazine on the store shelves as of yet, but with the vision our team shares, and the determination we have to succeed, the skies are the limit, and we will keep pushing forward. So, as we head into the New Year, we see the world changing. With spiritual confusion at an all-time high, people that have been faithful to a certain belief or religion are starting to look elsewhere for possible answers and truth. Many are becoming more open-minded and are ready to consider other spiritual concepts and opinions. That’s exactly what Signs~A Dream Codes Magazine is about. If you like our magazine, please tell your family and friends about us. Thank you once again for your support. Together we can build a solid foundation for Signs Magazine in which to build a successful, more spiritual future. Thank you Leon Titus

Clearing

by Tim McGovern

With Valentine's Day coming up, love will be in the air. The color red will fill the stores with

little hearts and pictures of Cupid. Chocolate will be bought in record numbers. However, there will be several other feelings in the air. You will also find there will be feelings of loneliness, rejection, heartbreak, and sadness.

These negative feelings are some of the lower vibrations of our energy levels that keep us from being able to experience life fully. I recently experienced exactly some of these emotions. I felt imbalanced, confused, and kept asking myself, "Why can’t I stop thinking about this situation?" As hard as it can be, we tend to attempt to ignore certain feelings we feel about people we care about when we feel hurt. Time seems to be the valid answer to healing our hearts and wounds. However, time does not heal ALL wounds. And if it did, what will we do ‘til we reach that point? We will not be living life to the fullest. There is another method that you can try if you find yourself in this situation. It is called CLEARING. In my situation, I learned a very valuable lesson. I had my walls up for a long time. I had not opened myself up to anyone for several reasons, but mainly because I did not feel ready to experience those emotions I was so familiar with in the past. Ultimately, I did not want to be hurt. Somehow, I met someone who was able to make my walls come down. For the first time in a long time, I opened up. It was exciting, but yet comfortable. I felt happy, and scolded myself for keeping my walls up for so long. I had forgotten what it felt like to take a chance on someone. With my walls being up for so long, I was surprised that this could happen. How did this person get me to open up? It was totally unexpected.

6  Dream Codes Mag

When I finally got to the point that things were going exactly how I had hoped, and I had opened myself up to new thoughts, that is when the call came. “We rushed things, and I think we should just be friends.” I was rejected. Once again, I was reminded of why I had my walls up to begin with. I felt disappointed and hurt. Now I was scolding myself for not listening to my gut instinct. However, I responded, “Ok, no worries.” I was thanked for being so mature and understanding about the situation. I was asked if we could still be friends. I said, “Of course!”

Although I was sincere in my response, I was not ready for what would happen for the next couple of days. I continued to think about this person and the situation… about the possibility of being in a relationship… would the future be kind enough to allow us to revisit the topic if we did stay friends… could we be friends, although we had crossed that line…and then it hit me. I was not honest with myself and my feelings. So, from the advice of a dear friend, I did something that was VERY uncomfortable. I cleared myself from the feelings that I was feeling. I took back the power that was given, since they obviously were not ready to responsibly handle my heart. And I was able to move forward. Here is the method that you can also try if you find yourself in this situation, and feel you need to clear the air. Ask for permission. For example: "I need to clear something with you. Is that okay?" Wait for a response. If they are open to you, and most likely they are, or you would not be doing this… they will say yes. Explain this is not about them, but you, so you are not expecting anything in return, and ask them if they are open to receiving what you have to say. For example: "I don’t expect any long response from you, unless you feel led to. Are you okay with hearing what I have to say?" Once they say yes, the clearing has begun. They have given the power back to you that they had over you, and have released you from any negative energy that you may have taken from them. Proceed to tell that person the feelings you have felt. Make sure you let them know it's not about them; therefore, there should be no accusatory statements of what they did, did not do, said, etc. This was about you, and clearing what needs to be cleared. I said how I was feeling the past few days. I said how I felt let down, and was not completely honest with my response initially. From there, the conversation continued. Now, there are some people which may need confirmation from you before they can express how they truly feel themselves. Is that fair? No. However, this is not about being fair. This is about clearing. If you never try this, and have felt this way before, your mind will continue to analyze, over and over, the situation until it might be too late. You never know…you may find yourself on the same page again with this person. Maybe they were also not being honest with how they felt. They may let out a sigh of relief, and come forward with their true emotions also. These are the people that have difficulty expressing their true emotions until they get validation from the other person first. However, this may not be the case. They may not be interested in anything more than just being friends. This is the risk that you take, to be able to clear these vibrations, so that regardless, you will come out the victor. Once they have agreed to allow you to clear something with them, they are open to receiving. You state how you feel, without anything to do with them, and now, you have now cleared yourself. There can be no accusations, blame, or desire to receive a response (because you may not get it). This is simply to clear yourself. The feelings of vulnerability are replaced with confidence, because you had the courage to make sure things are clear. The fear and discomfort are replaced with peace and lightness, as this burden will leave you. You can now take control of your life again, and move forward regardless of how the person responds. So how did my situation turn out, and what was the other person’s response? Well, this was the valuable lesson that I learned. I learned that it didn’t matter, and that was not the most important thing. The valuable lesson I learned was how to clear my lower vibrations, so that regardless of what the future holds tomorrow, I could live life fully today.

he term Collective Consciousness is a term that was first used by French sociologist Émile Durkheim. It refers to an underlying shared beliefs or moral attitudes of society that come together and unify as one force. Some may not know, but this affects psychics, energy fields, and even people who can connect with the spirit world. While some think the concept is dying, it is still evident today. Before I go into depth on how the Collective Consciousness (or C.C.) may affect psychics of the modern and old world, I must first explain a little of what science believes it to be. Scientists theorize that every person’s mind is unconsciously hooked into a vast mental and psychic network we call the C.C. Science says that the human mind is the most sophisticated and powerful computer in existence; following this train of thought one could consider the C.C. a backup server where all the information we couldn’t possibly remember consciously is uploaded. With the entire world wired into it, the knowledge of almost 7 billion people is actually at a single person's fingertips. What about people who have passed away? My theory is that upon death, it is possible for some people’s mind to go completely unconscious and somehow get uploaded into the C.C. The relevance of this statement shall become apparent later on. A psychic works by tapping into the energy fields around them to pick up on its variances, and thus comes up with knowledge they have no logical way of knowing. Empathetic people tap into a person’s aura and thus feel what that person feels. How then does it work when the information they seek lies hundreds, maybe even thousands of miles away? I believe that without realizing what they are doing, they tap into the C.C. pulling from a single point in the vast web and get the information that only that point (which is a person) would know. Here is another example. You have a friend who is empathetic and you two are really quite close. You travel all the way from the east coast to the west for vacation. At some point you start feeling depressed because you miss your family; almost immediately your friend calls. How did they know? I mean after all you are over a thousand miles away. This is where it gets interesting. We are able unconsciously to “flag” points in the global consciousness in such a way that they reside in the forefront of our minds. From there it is easy to accurately "update" these flag points on your status unintentionally. 8  Dream Codes Mag

Déjà vu could also be explained as related to the C.C. The term déjà vu is translated as “already viewed.” That means that any situation, that we feel like we have already been placed in, feels like an unnatural repeat. What this could mean is at that particular moment, you are accessing many “points” in the web and connecting them in a very specific order that simulates the exact situation you find yourself in. Another possibility is that you have honed in on a specific point that is experiencing the same exact situation but a second before you, thus giving you the déjà vu feeling. Some may ask, “What about those who see the dead? How can this be achieved through the Collective?” Well, after much thought, I believe quite possibly at the moment of death some people have their mind “uploaded” to the consciousness without being aware of it. They then roam the web of the consciousness thinking that they are alive. By roaming the web they would be able to look through the eyes of the living. There are psychics out there who are capable of seeing things within the web, and this is where their visions originate from. When a psychic sees the spirit of a deceased person they are really seeing the mind of a person caught in the C.C. In order to do this though, they themselves have stepped consciously into the unconscious world of the C.C. making them aware of what we normally are not. There are also those psychics who are clairaudient. This means they hear sounds that are not in their immediate surroundings. This may be something as simple and short-lived as a train whistle, or something as complex as a conversation they weren’t there for. The way this works is that the mind stores every sensory experience in an unconscious part of the brain where it could be easily recalled and remembered. This sensory information includes: touch, taste, emotion, sound, light, and images. All of this information passes into the C.C. as well, making it “public domain” if you will, for lack of a better term. It is quite simple for one with a specialized mind, as psychics possess, to tap into this database that contains all the information in existence as known to man; however, it is incredibly hard to control, on a large scale, what one experiences. So think of the Collective Conscious like the internet; connecting the entire world. Each mind would be the computers that upload and download from the internet every minute of every day. It requires no maintenance, because unlike the internet, where it runs from a few servers, each and every mind that is hooked into it maintains it by maintaining themselves. Science is still researching this concept looking for the proof to keep the idea afloat in a world of doubt. It has lost attention now for many years. Several experiments that seem to lean in the direction of this concept were performed between the 1800’s and the 1900’s; but until recently scientists thought it a dead end. What if it's just the beginning of a new metaphysical study?

ost people that have worked a Ouija board will suggest that you simply stay away from them. Even those individuals that have never touched a Ouija board will warn against using them, simply because of the stories they have heard. Either way, Ouija boards are frowned upon.

What’s so scary or bad about a piece of cardboard and plastic? Could it be the mystery surrounding the board and how it works? What makes the planchette move when you place your fingers on it? Is it a window to the spirit world? Where did the Ouija board come from? These are just a few of the questions people have about the talking board. Before we attempt to address those questions, let’s take a quick look at the history of the Ouija board, or at least what we know about it. History of the Talking Board Although no one exactly knows where the Ouija board originally came from, the basic concept and forms of the board have been around for hundreds, if not thousands of years. The word “Ouija” is thought to come from both the French and German words that mean “YES.” Some people believe that Ouija boards are ancient and go back as far as 500 BC, but the Ouija boards we use today have only been around for a little over a century. In 1891, two men named Elijah Bond and Charles Kennard co-patented the planchette, which was sold along with a board upon which an alphabet was printed. This board and device became the novelty known today as the “Ouija board.” Kennard thought of the name “Ouija” because he claimed that the board told him it was Egyptian for “good luck.” Ten years later in 1901, the production of Ouija boards was taken over by an employee of the Kennard Novelty Company named William Fuld. After his takeover, Fuld re-invented the Ouija board, claiming all credit for its invention. Fuld ran his company until his death in 1927, and then his children took over. In 1966, his children sold the company to Parker Brothers, and in 1991, Parker Brothers was sold to Hasbro, which now owns all patents and trademarks that are connected to the Ouija board. The Mystery Surrounding the Board Now that we know a little about the origins of the talking board, let’s take a look at what makes it so frowned upon and scary. We all know that when communicating with the spirit world there is the risk of danger, because you can’t actually see who you are talking to or who is talking back, and this leaves possibilities for big problems. Many of the people that have worked a Ouija board have fear and confusion about who’s really moving the planchette. The planchette is the plastic heart shaped device you rest your fingers on. Whether it’s 10  Dream Codes Mag

a spirit, your subconscious mind, or something else, the planchette does move when in the hands of the right people. This is not speculation, this is fact. In experiments, people have been placed in front of a Ouija board with their eyes blindfolded and hands placed on the planchette. After questions were asked, names would be spelled out, as well as answers, to many of the questions. In my opinion, this proves that someone or something unseen is moving the planchette to the symbols on the board. However, the big question is who, or what, is producing the answers and moving the planchette? When I asked people about this, most of them say that it’s some kind of evil force, usually the Devil or demons. Some claim that it’s lost souls or ghosts. Others believe that it could be the whole unseen spirit world. Like many of you, I have had my own experiences with the Ouija board. A few years back, a friend and I did a two year study of the Ouija board. However, before I tell you our results, you need to first understand the purpose and reasoning behind this experiment. I help so many different people with spiritual matters, and it’s very important that I study and understand a vast array of spiritual concepts, ideas and beliefs. Religion, dreams, life after death and ghosts are just a few of the things that I counsel people about. So in my case, it is very important for me to understand these spiritual things in order to help others. Unlike many others, I have no fear of - yet I have great respect for - the spirit world, and all those that are in and a part of it. I guess you can say I really need to know what I’m talking about in order to give advice and guidance to others. I don’t want to be the blind leading the blind. Our Findings Although some of our experiences I choose to keep private, I will reveal a few of our findings. One of the first things that we discovered is there is no power in the Ouija board itself. It is a tool like any other, developed to communicate with the spirit world. We found that because all subconscious minds are connected, it is the minds from the spirit world connecting with our minds that causes the pointer to move. Most individuals are not in-tune to spiritual things, and so the board was invented for direct contact with the spirit world. Few people are actually psychic enough to communicate with the spirit world without confusion. My partner and I supposedly communicated with ghosts, angels, demons and other spiritual beings. We also talked to dead relatives, fairies, souls from the distant past, and souls from other planets. We talked to those that knew us from past lives, as well as someone from the future. We even talked to a man using another Ouija board. He tried to send us to the light because he thought we were dead and lost. We all had a good laugh over that one. We were given both good and bad advice, and we talked to very wise, as well as very stupid people. We were told that we are much loved by some, and very hated by others. We sent scores of people and ghosts to the light. I guess one of the most amazing things we experienced was a sea captain from the 1700’s that was still on the ship in the rough seas he died in. He was panicking and in a storm. We asked him to look around for a light. He said that he could see a light house, so we told him to head for it. Next thing we knew, he was gone. We looked it up on the internet and found proof of the ship and the event. There are so many things that could be revealed, yet like I said earlier, some things we experienced we choose to keep private. Are these things that I reported to you true or possible? Regardless of what you choose to believe, I have simply told you what we experienced over a two year period, three nights a week. No, I don’t play around with or even use a Ouija board now. I found what I needed to know in order to do my work, and now have no further use for the board. The bottom line is this; using a Ouija Board can be dangerous. If you haven’t studied and come to understand how spiritual things work, don’t touch one. You could easily invite a spirit into your life that will wreak havoc, and simply won’t leave you alone. Though sold as a game, these talking boards are not a toy, and should be respected and understood before being bought or used. We must work out our own salvation, so be wise in what (and who) you believe. February 2013  11
