ON APRIL 15, 2011 I WILL BE SILENT
What are YOU going to do to END the silence?
S
ponsored by GLSEN, the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network, the National Day of Silence is a day of action in which students across the country take some form of a vow of silence to call attention to the silencing effect of anti-LGBT bullying and harassment in schools. Through their activities students can speak out against harassment and organize for change in their schools and communities. Now in its fifteenth year, the Day of Silence has become the single largest student-led action towards creating safer schools for all, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity/expression. Join me and the chapters, colonies and members of the MidWestern Region of Delta Phi Upsilon Fraternity in our support of the National Day of Silence by pledging to remain silent on April 15. Together, we can END the silence. Learn more at www.dayofsilence.org.
