ANDROID JONES - a collection -
www.androidjones.com I have seen things in this life that I am incapable of translating into words. I have visited realms where the imagination ends, and the terrifying beauty of infinity unfolds over and over again. If I could distill into words exactly what motivates me to create the art that I make than it would not be worth making it. Instead I have chosen the Pen. I honestly don’t know why I make this art, or what compels me to keep creating it; it’s a mystery I intend to pursue for the rest of my life, and each image brings me closer to the Ultimate Truth.

PHILIPPE DEBONGNIE - typography landscapes series -
www.philippedebongnie.be jazzanddraw.com
I’ve been working on this series for some time now, I call them “typography landscapes”. I work on old paintings or engravings, placing words in volume in the images. Those images, mixed with the word, convey a message, they actually become the message. The message is the image, and vice versa. I am a Belgian illustrator. I paint, draw, print and Photoshop images. I love working with different mediums, tools and shapes. I also love portraits. I find the human figure to be so full of everything, I could draw faces for the rest of my life. The way people think, behave, dress, talk, sing and all they do inspire me a lot and that really makes me want to portray them. Most of the time, Photoshop is the place where my images come together. I draw, paint, doodle, sketch and paste it all together in Photoshop trying to keep a handmade look but also to bring more to it by digitally retouching it. The feeling I want to convey with my images is something like:”great, he drew that, well done, but how did he get that look? How does that work?” Handmade yet slightly disturbing in the end.

LEONARDO FINOTTI - a collection -

PELADA This work shows the special role that soccer fields play in the chaotic periphery of São Paulo. In a place with a total lack of order, these fields bring the absent structure. But they do even more: these soccer fields act as a resistance of the public realm, right where is more necessary; its particular function establishes an almost sacred public space, but its role goes beyond sports, providing leisure, joy and civic values. Leonardo Finotti has built a solid career photographing architecture since 2000. Today he has one of the most expressive contemporary profile in architectural photography. He constantly collaborates with the main publications worldwide and his work has been shown in several solo and collective exhibitions. In “Pelada” he gives us a bare and honest view. The result is a touching reflection about built environment, art, politics and people.
