FH100 FUSION HEAD The FH100 Fusion from Vinten Radamec has been designed for use as a standalone device or for seamless integration with the pedestal FP145.
The Fusion head has a 55kg payload, and can be used in either manual or robotic mode. Continuing the manual and robotic capabilities of the Vinten Radamec range, the Fusion head utilises the award winning LF drag system used in the Vector 70 providing familiar drag performance for manual operators. With the simple clutching mechanisms adopted from the Radamec heads, the FH100 Fusion Head regains robotic control by remotely driving the mechanical clutch. The straightforward robust mechanical design and leading edge electronics development provide the perfect combination for a high performance head, both in flexibility and in accuracy, with head positioning repeatability of 60 Arcseconds.
The integral lens drive has automatic configuration for directly driving any full servo digital Canon or Fujinon broadcast lens, increasing the operational flexibility further.

FUSION FBH175 BOLT ON HEIGHT DRIVE The Vinten Radamec Fusion Bolt On Height Drive (FBH175) is designed for use with the manual pedestals from Vinten and Sachtler which do not have a fully skirted base, such as the Vinten Osprey Elite, Pro Ped and the Sachtler Combi Ped.
The height drive has a maximum payload of 80kg (176lbs), and is designed to support the Vinten Radamec Fusion robotic heads and today's portable cameras, lenses and prompters. By combining the bolt on height drive with the NEW Fusion Robotic Only head, the FP145, becomes a very affordable high performance robotics solution using the best lightweight manual pedestals available. The smooth movement produced by the height drive matches the performance of the pedestal under full manual control, enabling on shot movement as well as high speed repositioning.

FUSION FPH145 INTEGRAL HEIGHT DRIVE PEDESTAL The Vinten Radamec Fusion Integral Height Drive Pedestal has a maximum payload of 85kg (176lbs), designed to support the Vinten Radamec Fusion robotic heads and today's cameras, lenses & prompters, with room to spare. The pedestal is a full manually operated pedestal with an integrated height drive.
The modern peer to peer system architecture combined with the ease of access for maintenance has greatly reduced the down time further than that already enjoyed by Vinten Radamec customers. The Fusion height drive version can be upgraded to the fully robotic version. The pedestal stroke range is 765mm (30"), with full crab and steering capability in manual control. The fully continuous steering capability is delivered through the column found on the Osprey Elite product in the Vinten manual studio range, allowing most studio pedestal operators to be instantly familiar with the operating benefits of perfect balance.

With all the on shot characteristics you would expect from the Radamec and Vinten stables, the fully integral height drive pedestal has a maximum height velocity of 150mm (6") per second. The electronics are housed in easy access modules in the base of the pedestal, allowing board and full pack swap out, as well as table top testing of failed units.
The FPH145 may also be upgraded to a fully robotic pedestal, the FP145, through the local Vinten Radamec Service centre. The pedestal is compatible with the Vinten Radamec Control Systems, the Vinten Radamec Fusion Head (FH100) and the NEW Vinten Radamec Robotic Fusion Head (FHR100).

HS RANGE PAN AND TILT HEADS The full HS Range of remote pan and tilt heads are designed to support the latest studio, or portable cameras and lenses with any combination of lens, viewfinder or teleprompter.
The extremely rigid mechanical design and high precision servo technology ensures the HS Range of heads provide broadcast quality smooth movement at all times, while still achieving outstanding acceleration working seamlessly with the Vinten Radamec Control System. The HS 2010RED and 2010MED include an electronic drag system in the pan and tilt axes, providing smooth continuously variable drag over a wide range. The HS 105P is designed specifically for use with ENG size camera and lens configurations with a 34kg (75 lbs) capacity. The fast acceleration and angular velocity of the HS 105P lends itself to a variety of applications outside the studio environment, including parliamentary, or conference coverage. The HS 102P is a small profile versatile remote pan and tilt head that can be wall mounted, hung from a ceiling suspension bracket, or used with a tripod or pedestal. It delivers high speed and accuracy in very tight spaces.
The heads are also available in weatherproof versions, which will operate over an extended temperature range of -20˚C to +50˚C / -4°F to 122°F. For virtual studios there are factory fitted solutions available, providing real time digital electronic positioning of pan, tilt, zoom and focus to external graphic computers in each of the heads described here.

NATIVE LENS DRIVES The Vinten Radamec range of Native Lens Drives has been designed to support existing customers with Autocam and Radamec products. Native Lens Drive technology is incorporated into the design of all Fusion range heads.
Working in partnership with A&C Ltd, developers of leading remote camera heads, Vinten Radamec has developed a range Native Lens Drives (NLD) that can be fitted and operated without a lens bracket or any manual re-calibration. This offers the user much greater freedom in the choice of lens that they use and the locations where they operate. The Vinten Radamec NLDs incorporate A&C Ltd’s video lens control system. They provide both analogue and digital lens drive outputs for the control of modern full servo Superbox and ENG lenses through plug-in cables rather than a fitted lens bracket. The cables can be easily unplugged again if the camera is required for use elsewhere, and then reconnected back in the studio in seconds.
The Vinten Radamec Native Lens Drives communicate intelligently with the lens software – recognising different lenses - which allows for easy interchangeability, only limited by the connections into the various lenses. Lens calibration for Zoom and Focus control starts automatically at power up and takes less than a second for serial control or up to just 40 seconds for analogue control. No further manual intervention is required.

NATIVE LENS DRIVES Vinten Radamec offers three Native Lens Drives. • The 431 NLD is a bolt-on solution suitable for all 431 Radamec heads. • The Radamec mini Head Control Unit (mHCU) NLD is compatible with both the Radamec 436 and 435H heads and offers the option to upgrade existing mHCUs with the advanced features of the NLD. • The Autocam Native Lens Drive is a bolt-on solution that is backwards compatible with all Autocam heads. Native Lens Drive technology is incorporated into the design of all Fusion range heads.

MULTICONTROLLER II The Multicontroller II can control up to six pan/tilt heads from the Autocam range, storing up to 100 head and lens positions for each camera at any one time, a total of 600 in all pre shot sets.
This economical and compact controller recalls shots and repositions to a selected camera location in a smooth and co-ordinated movement with all axes arriving at the same time. Speed of transition between shots is determined by the operator by setting the speed knob. A three-function proportional rate joystick gives smooth manual positioning of the head. Pan & tilt rates are contoured with the level of joystick movement determining the speed of camera motion. Rotation of the joystick controls the zoom, while a separate rotary knob controls the focus.

FUSION FCS16 CONTROL SYSTEM This new concept in control systems is the first ever to offer full robotic control for up to 16 cameras, via a built-in touch screen.
Offering the enhanced functionality associated with the new Fusion range, the Fusion FCS16 Control System has been designed as a compact solution that requires only the same space as its closest predecessor, the Shot Control Panel from Radamec. The Fusion FCS16 Control System can be teamed directly with all companion Fusion range products. Combining the system with the Fusion FHR100 Robotic only Head and the Fusion FBH175 Bolt on Height Drive is one way to create a cost effective robotic camera support solution able to deliver the best in creative, high quality programming

To support the changing needs of existing customers the Fusion FCS16 has also been designed for backward compatibility with Radamec and Autocam robotic equipment. This enables broadcasters to upgrade robotics on a gradual, extremely costeffective basis without having to change an entire system in a single capital outlay. The control system’s network architecture incorporates the easy to use TCPi system with the sophistication of the Series 200 system, offering multi-user, multi-facility control of robotic pedestals, heads and elevation units. Microsoft Windows™ and real time OS technology provide the Fusion FCS16 with enhanced operational features that ensure compatibility with many discontinued products from the former Radamec and Autocam ranges in addition to all of the new Fusion products from Vinten Radamec.
The user interface is a Windows based 10.4” touchscreen that allows a single controller to be configured to control up to 16 cameras and/or full x-y pedestals from any number of locations - the operator can be in the next room or on the other side of the world. Multiple controllers can be added to the network allowing further operational flexibility. Operators can control any studios’ cameras, from any control room (subject to permission). Designed to be ‘future proof’, the control system will be upgradeable with software or additional devices as Vinten Radamec’s robotics systems continue to develop. The Fusion FCS16 delivers a unique range of benefits – offering high end operational performance at a very affordable price.

The Vinten Radamec Control (VRC) system is an easy to use, easy to configure control solution that maximises your production flexibility. The network architecture incorporates most of the Radamec and Autocam control systems features to provide multi-user, multi-facility control of robotic pedestals, heads and elevation units. Microsoft Windows™ and real time OS technology provide the Vinten Radamec system with enhanced operational features that ensure compatibility with all current and many products from either the former Radamec or Autocam ranges as well as all of the new products from Vinten Radamec. Utilising flexible Ethernet network architecture, the Windows based touchscreen user interface allows a single controller to be configured to control up to 32 devices within the same logic sub-network. If remote control is required, a dedicated network communication channel is needed with appropriate traffic policies enabled.
Multiple controllers can be added to the VRC network allowing operational flexibility. Operators can control any studios’ cameras, from any control room (subject to permission). System interconnection is via industry standard TCP/IP, RS232 and RS422 protocols. The NEW Vinten Radamec Control System allows us to grow with you. It enables you to purchase equipment to suit current needs secure in the knowledge that the system is the heart of all future systems from Vinten Radamec, ensuring your system can be fully supported, upgraded with software or compatible with the new range of developments planned in the near future. Vision 250E The Vision 250E combines a manually operated pan and tilt head with optical encoders, to provide precise real time digital electronic positioning of pan and tilt. The Vision 250E tracking head provides the most complete link between an operators desired performance from a pan and tilt head and the accuracy demanded for virtual applications. By providing encoders to the universally acclaimed Vision 250 head enables genuine high-end production capability for more budget sensitive needs such as webcasting, small studio productions and other on-location applications. The 250E is based on the award winning Vision 250 pan and tilt head, which uses a unique “twin spring balancing mechanism�, to provide infinitely adjustable perfect balance throughout the tilt range.
Combined with the exceptional TF drag system, illuminated level bubble and back lit drag knobs, counterbalance positional display and an optional two-year warranty. Vision 250IT The Vision 250IT uses the Vision 250E, but includes an encoder capture board which provides positional data to the virtual set computer via a switchable RS-232 or RS-422 port, this is compatible with most virtual studio systems currently in use. Vision 250SPI The Vision 250SPI will be added to the range in the next few months, again using the 250E as its base product. The addition of the new serial protocol interface box for not only providing a single data stream to the rendering system, but also a direct interface to the modern lenses with encoder outputs, or the bolt on lens encoders ordinarily provided by Radamec or Vinten.

Vector 950E The Vector 950E combines the award winning manually operated Vector 950 pan and tilt head with optical encoders to provide precise real-time digital electronic positioning. The Vector 950E has been specifically designed to meet the exacting demands of camera operators working in virtual production with full facility studio and OB cameras, offering a high level of control with many unique features. The Vector 950E is fitted with very high quality rotary optical incremental encoders in both the pan and tilt
axis, and are accessed via a connector at the front of the head. Power to the encoders is 5V dc at 200mA maximum.
Vector 950SPI The Vector 950SPI will be added to the range in the next few months, again using the 950E as its base product. The addition of the new serial protocol interface box for not only providing a single data stream to the rendering system, but also a direct interface to the modern lenses with encoder outputs, or the bolt on lens encoders ordinarily provided by Radamec or Vinten.

QUATTRO SE MANUALLY OPERATED PEDESTAL The latest new addition to the Vinten Radamec Range, the Quattro SE is a lightweight and compact manually operated pedestal with built in encoders, making it perfect for today’s virtual studios.
Building on the award winning Quattro S, the SE variant maintains all of the benefits of the ergonomically assisted lifting column, the small doorway width, and the on shot performance of any Vinten pedestal.
The algorithm uses the motion data from each of the seven encoders to provide an error correction estimation, which has shown itself to be an improvement in accuracy by a factor of ten over other pedestal tracking solutions.
To provide the tracking solution, high quality precision encoders have been integrated into the wheels and column, providing precise real time digital electronic positioning over the floor and in elevation.
To deliver the accurate position data for all axes two electronics modules are included, a base processor and a head processor.
Basic encoder feedback does not produce a wholly worthwhile output as can be seen in most Virtual Reality pedestal solutions available. In order to negate the impact of ‘scrubbing’ or dragging of the wheels an algorithm has been developed.
A PDA is included to provide the configuration and operational user interface, simplifying the set up in the virtual studio, as well as providing the operator with useful positional feedback, and calibration data.

In keeping with Vinten Radamec’s aim to simplify tracking solutions, the output from the pedestal is integrated with the 900E, 950E and 250E head and lens position feedback into a single clocked channel to the rendering system of a virtual software image generator. To calibrate the pedestal with a studio a target is placed on the floor, and a simple sweep over by the pedestal in the set up mode allows the position to be realised immediately.
