Since 1971, Drake New Zealand has supplied temporary and permanent staff to our clients. We were founded in Canada in 1951 and now have offices in many countries all over the world, including 11 branches in New Zealand. WORK INFORMATION Before going to work, please make sure that you have the name of the company you are going to work for, who to report to, the address and directions. Wear clean and suitable work clothing, always dress neatly and, if applicable, make sure that you wear the safety clothing as directed for that job. For industrial workers, always take your steel capped boots unless otherwise advised.
IMPORTANT Occasionally a representative from Drake will visit you while you are working. They are there to help you, so feel free to say hello.
When you arrive at work and meet the person you will be reporting to, give them your name, check your duties, confirm your hours of work and when your breaks will be. As soon as you know when your job is finishing, please call your consultant. That way, we know when you are available to begin your next job.

PAYMENT INFORMATION The email you provide on our Bank form will be used to set you up on our online payroll system – Datacom. Datacom is where you can access your electronic payslips. Remember to provide a valid email address on your bank forms!
HOW DOES IT WORK? 9 You will be sent an invitation email with instructions on how to set up your personal Datacom Payroll account before your first pay. It is important that you set up your account within 3 days of receiving this email or the link will expire.

TIMESHEET INFORMATION To make sure that you get paid correctly and on time please make sure that you complete your timesheet as shown below:
PLEASE REMEMBER 9 Both you and your supervisor must sign your timesheet 9 We must receive your timesheet by 10:00am Monday for payment that week 9 Use a new timesheet for each job (if you do not have a new timesheet call your consultant and they will send you one) 9 Round up your hours to 0, 15, 30 and 45-minute increments. For example, if you start work at 08:10, this should be rounded up to 08:15 9 Check that all your hours are added up correctly and that a total number for the week is entered 9 You are not paid for your meal break, unless advised by your consultant 9 If you want to be paid any sick or holiday pay, you must call your consultant before 10:00am on Thursday, for payment the following Friday 9 Set any automatic payments to come out of your account on Fridays because this is the official payday 9 Drake pays all Field Staff Employees weekly via direct credit into your bank account 9 Your pay period is Monday to Sunday 9 Any questions you have about your wages, hours worked or pay rates, please call your consultant

HEALTH AND SAFETY Should you have an injury at work this must be reported to the Site Supervisor and your Drake Consultant immediately. Health and Safety is both an individual and shared responsibility of all employees. Drake has a Health and Safety policy, so please ensure you read it and are familiar with it.
HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY Drake is committed to providing a healthy and safe workplace for all employees. Drake’s management will abide by the rules and regulations covered by the Health and Safety at Work Act. The following responsibilities are essential to the success of the policy: 9 Work in a healthy and safe manner 9 Encourage others to work in a healthy and safe manner 9 Discourage others from working in an unsafe manner 9 Report any unsafe conditions that you notice 9 Make a personal commitment to establish and maintain a safe and healthy working environment

This allows us to reward and encourage outstanding performance and ensure high standards are being maintained. We regularly call our clients to get feedback on you. Any feedback that we receive about you is recorded in your work history file and we will take this feedback into consideration when placing you in jobs in the future. If we receive a report on you that is unsatisfactory, we will talk to you to find out what the problem was and, if appropriate, offer you advice on how to improve your performance. In the unlikely event we have continuing unsatisfactory reports on your performance, we will be unable to offer you any further work. In certain cases this could result in termination of your contract. For further details please refer to your Employment Agreement.

Pay days are Fridays, if this falls on a public holiday you will then be paid early to ensure you do not receive late payment
Please call 0800 840 940 and advise the Drake Consultant answering the call your full name, the client you work for and your onsite supervisor. You need to advise at least 1 hour prior to your shift time.
Report your injury to the onsite supervisor/manager immediately and advise your Drake Consultant as soon as possible.
Please contact your Drake Consultant. All leave requests must be submitted with two weeks’ notice. Approval is not guaranteed.
All your payslips can be found through Datacom. You will be sent an email invitation from Datacom within your first week to the email address you stated on your bank form. It is important that you set up your account as soon as possible as the link in the email will expire in 3 days. You can also download the app Datacom once you have set up your password.
You must attend all shifts that have been pre booked/rostered unless you are unwell or have approved leave. If you are unwell, please contact your Drake Consultant or call us on our 24/7 phone number 0800 840 940.
If you assignment is less than 4 weeks, your notice period is 2 days. If you assignment has been more than 4 weeks, you are required to give 5 working days’ notice.
