Introduction to Drake WellbeingHub Wellbeing Programs

Everyone has a role to play in looking after not only their own mental health, but also helping to create a mentally healthy workplace.

Drake WellbeingHub offer a series of clinically developed programs so you can focus on integral areas pertaining to good mental health practices and employee wellbeing. Our Wellbeing Programs are designed to raise awareness, drive engagement and increase commitment from staff contributing to a mentally healthy workplace for all.

Providing managers and employees with the tools to recognise and communicate mental health issues creates a positive and productive workplace. The longer term benefits of this include reduced sick leave, increased morale and engagement and an ability to attract and retain talent.

Target Audience: General Employee Group & Management Teams Outcomes:

• Increases participants’ awareness of common mental health issues, including anxiety, depression and suicidal ideation;

• Participants gain an understanding of what the EAP is and how it can assist them, their coworkers and their family in managing mental health issues; and

• Provides participants with information about the different services offered by the EAP and outlines the process of accessing the service.

Target Audience: General Employee Group Outcomes:

• Provides participants with information around the impact mental health issues have on the workplace;

• Participants are given an opportunity to explore their role in reducing the risk of mental health issues within the workplace;

• Increases participants’ understanding of common mental health issues, including recognising the signs and symptoms of anxiety, depression, and suicidal ideation;

• Equips participants to support themselves and co-workers with mental health issues; and

• Provides information about the EAP and how we can assist with managing mental health issues.

Insights on Mental Health in the Workplace - for Managers

Target Audience: Management Teams

Outcomes:

• Provides managers with information around the impact mental health issues have on the workplace;

• Managers are given an opportunity to explore their role in reducing the risk of mental health issues within the workplace;

• Increases managers’ understanding of common mental health issues, including recognising the signs and symptoms of anxiety, depression and suicidal ideation;

• Equips managers to support themselves and employees with mental health issues; and

• Provides information about the EAP and how the ManagerSupport service can support participants in managing employees, in the context of mental health issues.

Target Audience: Management Teams

Outcomes:

• Provides managers with an understanding of the building blocks of resilience;

• Guides managers to identify unhelpful thought and behavioural patterns that lead to stress and explore protective factors that help develop resilience;

• Increases managers’ understanding of the symptoms of stress and the concept of ‘positive stress’;

• Managers are equipped with practical tools to deal with stress, including breathing, mindfulness and positive self-talk exercises; and

• Provides practical information and tools for managers to build an organisational culture that fosters resilience and effective communication.

Stress and Resilience in the Workplace

Target Audience: General Employee Group

Outcomes:

• Provides participants with an understanding of the building blocks of resilience;

• Guides participants to identify unhelpful thought and behavioural patterns that lead to stress and explore protective factors that help develop resilience;

• Increases participants’ understanding of the symptoms of stress and the concept of ‘positive stress’;

• Participants are equipped with practical tools to deal with stress, including breathing, mindfulness and positive self-talk exercises; and

• Generates problem solving, collaboration and personal growth by developing strategies for effective communication and constructive feedback.

Target Audience: Management Teams

Outcomes:

• Provides managers with knowledge and practical information about the types of change, common barriers to change and proven strategies to engage change;

• Managers are equipped to lead through significant workplace change by putting plans and strategies in place to guide transformation efforts; and

• Provides information about the EAP and how the ManagerSupport service can assist managers in supporting employees through change.

Leading Change 6 1 hour 1 hour 6

Target Audience: General Employee Group & Management Teams

Outcomes:

• Provides information about life events that trigger grief and common symptoms of grief and loss;

• Increases participants’ understanding of the stages of grief and the importance of moving towards acceptance;

• Participants are equipped with strategies to deal with grief and the uncomfortable emotional responses related to loss; and

• Provides participants with practical information and tools for supporting a co-worker or employee experiencing grief in the workplace.

Target Audience: General Employee Group & Management Teams Outcomes:

• Provides the latest statistics and research around Domestic and Family Violence;

• Equips participants with practical information and resources on Domestic and Family Violence and avenues for support;

• Participants will gain a greater awareness into factors of Domestic and Family Violence and will learn how to identify signs that an employee or co-worker may be experiencing violence;

• Provides participants with best practice guidelines for Domestic and Family Violence situations in the workplace; and

• Provides information about the EAP and how the ManagerSupport service can assist managers in supporting employees who are experiencing Domestic and Family Violence.

Target Audience: Management Teams

Outcomes:

• Managers gain a greater awareness of the factors that create a positive culture within the workplace;

• Equips managers with practical information and tools on how to create and nurture a positive workplace culture;

• Provides information about workplace bullying and the impact it has on workplace culture;

• Managers are provided with strategies to prevent and manage workplace bullying; and

• Provides information about the EAP and how the ManagerSupport service can assist managers in dealing with issues related to workplace culture and bullying.

Target Audience: General Employee Group & Management Teams

Outcomes:

• Provides participants with information about the connection between physical health and mental wellbeing and offers practical guidelines to develop healthy lifestyle habits;

• Participants are equipped with practical tools for managing various and often conflicting personal and work demands;

• Provides participants with an understanding of mindfulness as an evidence-based approach to mental health and wellbeing; and

• Participants will discover how mindfulness works and learn mindfulness strategies that can be used in everyday life.

Personal Wellbeing and Mindfulness 10 1 hour 1 hour 8

Target Audience: General Employee Group & Management Teams

Outcomes:

• Provides participants with the keys to assertive communication and common barriers to effective communication;

• Participants are equipped with practical strategies to communicate assertively and respectively in the workplace; and

• Provides information about the EAP and how the ManagerSupport service can assist managers in developing assertiveness in employees.
