Originally a private house when first constructed in 1770, and later partially converted into two churches, The George Hotel’s rich history is encapsulated in its décor, which features original flagstoned floors plus log and peat fires. It has been in the Clark family for eight generations and under the families stewardship it has gained a reputation far and wide for great hospitality. The menu includes an abundance of local produce such as West Highland beef and Loch Fyne salmon while the drinks menu features real ales, wines, cocktails and more than 120 malt whiskies. The hotel boasts a public and cocktail bar and a fabulous garden area. The George houses 17 sensitively-restyled bedrooms,each one being totally unique and some have four-posters. It’s also a dog friendly environment and guests can stay over with their pooches too.
