In a digitally heavy world, the art of the dinner party seems to be needed. When I first grilled Elisa on what the benefits of being organized were, she told me this story of a woman who couldn’t even reach her dining room table because it was full of shoe boxes! “How can we be generous if we can’t even invite a friend over for a meal?” she asked.

To gather is a gift. To host takes a little bit of togetherness. Elisa stresses it doesn’t need to be perfect, fancy, or extravagantYou just need to be able to get to your table! This photo is at Elisa’s home in Feb 2020 before the world changed all of our habits.

In business there can be waves of loneliness, confusion, and frustration. It’s essential that we connect and provide chances for sharing and caring. There is something special that happens on camera when it’s an interview format. It’s less intimidating when we have a buddy to chat with about our big idea. This is one of my favorite videos we did because it shows the need and thought process of developing the Smooth Organizer Community.

My own chaos needed more than a book. So often authors miss this opportunity to really train, encourage, motivate, and provide additional resources. Intellectually understanding something is one thing, changing how we approach it in our day-to-day is just as important. Social media is perfect for issues where we need constant and consistent reminders and encouragement.

Plan a gifting party!?

This is one of my favorite ideas Elisa has given the marketplace. Host a gifting party; it’s a social & generous time.

Invite a large group of friends over. Have them bring something they would like to part with. 1. Tell the story of the significance of the item. 2. Let others choose what they want for themselves, for a friend, or relative. 3. Enjoy the joy of generosity. 4.

It’s important that we ask the tough questions but also find balance in the joy of life.

Developing Digital You takes a lot of creativity and data driven decision making. Storytelling imagery & talking head videos in general doesn’t help us decide. It helps us see a character at a point in time. Data art looks back at the choices we made in our prior month, year, or decade.

We become a character to study, encourage, and embrace. Have you been encouraged enough on your digital journey?
