A RAPID RISE UP THE FEI DRESSAGE RANKINGS LIST

New Zealand riders have continued their extraordinary rise up the FEI Dressage Rider & Horse Rankings and the all-important FEI Group rankings which will determine if New Zealand will be allocated an Individual place at Paris subject to meeting stringent NZOC selection criteria. Galloway has moved from number 109 to 44, and Wendi Williamson jumps from 176 to 68 – both the highest rankings ever for New

Zealand. In the Horse Rankings Windermere J'Obei W has climbed from number 114 to 51 and Don Vito MH a massive move from 210 to 76.

Riders from Group G are contesting two individual places at the Paris 2024 Games; however, countries can only earn one place each. Performances at CDI 3* and above count with the best score from each of four events to count based on percentage. The Grand

Prix, the Special and the Freestyle are all eligible, albeit the Freestyle points allocated are slightly lower. Riders from Group G have been busy competing on the Florida circuit resulting in Singapore and Thailand already have four scores to count, followed by Japan and two riders from Korea with three each. The Kiwis are now closing in with Melissa Galloway, Wendi Williamson, and Gaylene Lennard in second, third and eighth place.
