SWE DIAMANT STERN TAKES HOME PRESTIGOUS FUTURES PRIZE

The Prestige Equestrian Dressage Futures Prize is one of the most sought after on the Dressage circuit and when you know that it’s a brand-new Prestige Dressage Saddle you are chasing there is plenty of incentive to get out and about at the Premier League events.

It is for our stars of the future –horses between four and ten years old with riders who have no grading points at Medium Tour or above on any horse as at the first of August 2022. This year’s series went right down to the wire with just 2 points separating the winner and runner up.

Philippa (Pip) Gibbons is a popular competitor on circuit – always smiling, supportive of other riders and setting a high standard in all she does in equestrian. Along with partner Marty, Pip is also a sponsor of dressage. SWE Diamant Stern is by ten-year-old 165cm gelding by Awakino Decameron, bred by SWE Equestrian (Janelle Sangster-Ward) out of Janelle’s Prix St Georges mare SWE Roulette (by Rameriz).

“A huge thank you to Prestige Saddles NZ for their wonderful sponsorship of the Prestige Equestrian Futures National Series. I have been lucky enough to receive some minor places in this award so to win it in my last year of eligibility on 'Sam' is great! Over the last few years I have mainly ridden my horses in Prestige Dressage Saddles and I love the quality of the product and the fit for the horse.

A huge thanks to: SW Equestrian for breeding the perfect amateur horse, SWE Diamant Stern; to Vanessa Way for her dedicated coaching; and of course thanks again to Prestige Saddles NZ.”
