Team Zhang Wei, He Zhen, Wu Xiaodong, Zheng Weijian The project is located at the starting point of Hangzhou West Science and Technology Innovation Corridor, in the Zijingang area at the north of Sandun Town. It is adjacent to the AliCloud Valley, and close to Zijingang Campus of Zhejiang University, possessing huge potential for future development. The architects discarded the conventional design approaches, and integrated the natural environment with the unique temperament of the project site based on the needs of urban development, hence creating the ideal town for the future.

The project adopts the conceptual planning system with the theme of ‘City Above The Clouds’. Four main buildings are stacked on double-storey circular commercial podium buildings respectively to form a central green park. The commercial space on the first floor has multiple entrances connected to the city, creating a vibrant, three-dimensional and open ideal city.
Sky Yards Project Commissioner Private Owners Creator Domain Architects Surrounded by unfinished building site, waste land and industrial sites, this 48-room hotel and restaurant complex in a small town is not blessed with a beautiful site. Fortunately, Taihang Mountain is visible from two major sides.
Usually a hotel room would be designed as an outward box to maximize the view. We rejected the common model and reinvented the experience in a typical unit: a micro and private courtyard with a scroll-like view of the sky and the mountain, while the view below eye-level is blocked. The exterior image is also visually connected with the gables in local villages and the outline of the mountain.
Toky Terrace Project Commissioner Toky Electrical Co Creator CE-ST Design Studio
Team Chester Goh, Esther Li, Lin Xixi, Carson Huang, Sun Xilin, Ma Yiwen, Zhang Guannan Toky Terrace is a twin tower, transit-oriented development (TOD) project nestled in the central plot of Zhongshan city.
This design seeks to capture the essence of the gradually developing city while also providing an iconic benchmark for the development of the city. The towers are combined at various floor levels to create vertical sky gardens that fit in beautifully with the context of the mountains to the southern side creating a deeper sub-conscious sense of belonging to the city.
The staggered retreating steps of each floor on the lower levels of commercial podium enrich the user experience while the green terraces provide a break in monotony and encourages communal interactivity through the platforms.
