From small, everyday establishments to more formal venues for special events, restaurants attract people from the community and beyond, contributing greatly to the overall feel and ambience of a neighborhood, while creating foot traffic and gatherings that are the very fabric of New York City.

BIG and landscape architecture firm James Corner Field Operations have revealed plans for a mixeduse development on the waterfront in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, with a beach that could protect the shoreline from flooding. River Street Waterfront Master Plan was created by the duo for a plot on Williamsburg’s waterfront that is owned by developer Two Trees.
